Using LAA?
I used to use LAA with Sins of a Solar Empire and it worked better. Should I use it with Medieval 2 and it's mods ?

You can use it only on the game's executable - but yes, it improves the stability.

If you like to have more stability than yeah. I personally get a lot of crashing without LAA using mods whereas I get less frequent crashing with LAA using mods.

Pity it alters the executable - that's why you don't see it supported on the official sites.

In my experience this CFG file entry in the [io] section already increases stability:
disable_file_cache = 1
