MTW2 Kingdoms Gold For Linux Not Working

Hi all.

I recently switched to Linux Mint from Windows Vista. I have a copy of MTW2 for Windows that I can play through WINE but I cannot run mods on that, so I bought a copy of MTW2 Kingdoms Gold from Steam to get the Linux version.

Steam installed the Linux version okay, but the game won't start.

I looked around on various forums and read someone had a similar problem and it was due to a MESA issue, so I did what that guy did and input the following command for MTW2:

MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.3 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=430 %command%

Game starts, but no graphics. I can hear audio, however.

Any ideas how to make this work? MTW2 is kewl and all, but it is the mods that make it an All-Star game and right now I cannot run any of the mega-awesome mods. :(

No. I never got it to run. I got caught up in other games and forgot about it. Couldn't get any help on this forum or the total war forum. :(

Feral Interactive Support says, they believe that my GPU, which is Intel HD3000, is below the minimum requirement.

doesn't run well with onboard graphic cards (some don't work at all, I think) and the cpu core processor speed is essential - the game only uses one core
Anything below 2.8-3GHz has problems

at least that's the case in windows
