Well, a con might be that you can't kill all enemy forces you want to kill

A pro can be that whenever the AI attacks you in a city, but for some reason the pathfinding gets buggy or you sallied out and blocked their way to the walls/gate and they stop their assault, that you get a free win without many casualties.
Another pro can be that you're fighting of multiple armies in a defensive siege and that the battletimer saves your city/castle by running out despite being heavily outnumbered and slaughtered if there'd be no battle timer.

Other times, the AI won't attack at all, even as the agressor and instead retreats to a defensible position, you can just sit back, read a book or something and have the timer run out.

Personally, I always play with 60min battle timer because it allows a slow approach to siege assaults, plenty of time to manouvre in pitch battles and enough time to read a book if the AI decides to sit still.

Thanks for the info!
You can turn time limit on and off in the campaign map on the fly. Esc -> Game options -> No Battle Time Limit. I usually keep it off for maximum catapult blasting but it's your choice, and Inardesco explained it nicely.

Biggest, but thankfully rarest, reason for keeping limited time enabled: enemy units stuck on inaccesible\unreachable spots. Usually happens in mountain battles.

The passage along 'Misty Mountains' is prone to it and I believe there is the odd spot in Mordor's mountains.

Better leave the setting for this mod at 'limited'.

The foothills of Gundabad are also absolutely awful for doing that...

Well, v1.01 allowed player and AI to traverse normally unaccesible areas, however this was fixed in v1.1.

Alright guys, im not worried since there's an option to choose in the menu whenever i want to change.

Is there any good graphical overhaul submods for TATW, sadly graphics showing its age :/

There's a graphical "improvement" module but all it does is darken some bits and brighten other bits. Personally I got glaring issues when fighting on the snow because it was so darn bright.

Personally, M2 looks and feels a lot better than the modern Rome 2 and Atilla in many aspects. Then again, I never found graphics to be the most important feature of a game.

Yeah I get you, i dont like most color correction modules too, they make some scenes look better but screw the other. At least the game is running smooth.
Oh, and in the Main Menu you can turn graphics settings up there, but you've probably already done that...
