I've tried installing it several times to no avail. Although, if you're on Mac and want to play MTW2 online I'll be happy to join you!

Your problem starts with the fact that all files have to be small caps. There aren't many mods around that are MAc compatible.

I believe there is a workaround though, but I couldn't check it myself, as I play on Linux. Try the methods described in the following links:

I suppose you follow the same steps as above to install any mod or submod, including DaC.

Good luck! And please do share your results.

TATW is already Mac compliant? Because that guide only shows how to install TATW and run it. It's certainly not about Mac MODDING. "Medieval II: Mac Installing' would have been an appropriate title.

Reckon DAC may not be MAC compliant. "DAC's not for MAC" - catchy if (unfortuantely) correct...

Well, I guess you are right about it afterall. Although if the problem is only the case sensitiveness, then there must be something to downcase the files and folders in bulk. After that it would be a breeze to install it, I suppose. On the other hand, if there something else to it besides case sensitiveness, then I give up.

You had any luck with that java script I send you?
Socrates1984 Jan 10, 2017 @ 8:14am
Not yet. I am still struggling as to how to run it. I have to come to grips with the whole notion of java before finding a way to run the script. Rest assured I will let you know.

Or even better:

I just didn't have the time to get to it.

Good luck - I hope it's easy enough for layman to do as well.

Touché.

what are these things for?
Gigantus Jan 11, 2017 @ 7:08pm
Mac requires all files to be in lower case. Files that contain upper case letters lead to errors as they get referenced incorrectly.
This will work: mynewfile.txt
This will not: MyNewFile.txt

To add to what Gigantus accurately said, the file and folders NAMES have to be lower case. If their content has to be lower case too is still debated on, but 95% they don't.

For example: Inside a bat file you might see TATW.cfg referenced, which is clearly upper case. Despite being upper case, it works, because the name of the referenced file is in lower cases (tatw.cfg).
