Mods not working
So i got this game to play several mods like Call of Warhammer and Third Age and they all worked fine a while ago. I tried playing them last night and in all of the mods going to different places in the menus just takes me to a screen with the spinning hourglass icon and it doesnt change. I waited for an hour to see if something would happen or if the game would crash but It does nothing. It's also not syaing that the program is not responding it just doesn't loads the menus. If I try to go to custom battles it does this if I try to go to load game it does this. I have no clue why all of a sudden all of them are doing this. Pleas if anyone can help me I would really like to play these games.

Looking at the recent frequency of this problem I woudl think windows has done a number again. Current remedy is to run the game in win8 compatibilty and with admin rights. right click the medieval2.exe (and\or kingdoms.exe) file and then set the compabiity and security settings. Start game as usual.

It's been happening since the end of June, which I think was roughly the preriod when the 'creator' was launched.

How have you launched Third Age Reforged. Also, keep in mind that Reforged is multiplayer only.

When I try to run as administrator, I get a pop-up which says "Windows can't find medieval2.exe. Make sure you've typed the name correctly, then try again." Then an empty DOS screen.

So no admin run for me?

Admin run tends to kill relative paths, which mods depend on. I'd go without it and elaborate on what exactly you're trying to fix, mod and symptoms, as the issue above should not be occurring at this point. Could try without admin run and keep the 8 compat.

Sadly, admin run was my last resort. Deleting the WH mod, fun while it lasted :)

Strange, never had problems with compatibility and mods.

The pop up seems to indicate that you may have installed the mod into the wrong path - the BAT file you are trying to start needs to be in M2TW\mods\Warhammer (or whatever the mod's directory name is).
Simply right click the mod's desktop shortcut and choose 'open file location'. If it's location is not as above then simply move the mod into the right directory and create a new shortcut.
