TATW Mac how to enable console

I have tried all keys (also pressing shift, control and command). I enabled the console on the starting panel which shows up before launching the program. Nothing, the console doesn't open. Thanks for the help in advance!

The matilda key should open it, which (at least for my keyboard) is right to the left ofthe number keys. The symbol should look like this `

I have tried already, it doesn't seem to work

The problem is, I cannot find the file named description shortcuts.

Furthermore, after a bit of research, I have found another file containing related content, but do not know how to modify it in order for the console to show. Here is the extract of the file (not modified): "{UI_GAME_INFO_DISABLE_CONSOLE}Disable the cheat console
{UI_GAME_OPTIONS_DISABLE_CONSOLE}Disable Console"

The file is menu_english.txt

After looking at it, it looks like it is just a translation sheet. I am not sure though. I am not really sure what you should do now. I never had this problem. Hopefully someone else will join the discussion.
