?????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To Hazzards. Verify game files (right click Med 2 in steam -> proerties -> loal files -> check bla-bla). This file should be located under main folder of the game.
like ...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\msvcp71.dll
and if verifying still does not work just get a download of it and manually plop it into your game folder
https://www.dllme.com/dll/files/msvcp71_dll.html
Also, if you try verifying files under any windows since XP, due to recent security updates, it does absolutely nothing even if it finds files needed because it doesnt have permission to actually write them to the hard drive anymore.
To verify files in Steam now for Medieval 2, Steam must be running as administrator to verify them, then quit and started normally to actually play.
there are lots of reasons why he may not be getting it,but i'm not going into all that
If you want to do some modding then make use of this set up as well: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=352216
is it this "relations and reputations patch" that i have no idea what he is talking about
christ,he could have said..
i have a little trouble trying to understand what you are saying to sometimes HH
for starters,i use a nice clean Win7 OP,and suffer NONE of the problems you talk about sometimes
also i don't make mods for this game as i like to still PLAY it,which is something i pretty much never end up wanting to do much after i learn how to make mods for them
so other than a few notepad edits that really bugged me,i know, and want to know little of making mods for TW
I am honestly glad you have not been plagued by errors. You want the truth? That tells me a great deal of how you use your computer and that you head off errors before you get them by the way you use your computer.
For medieval 2, it is only about 15% of vanilla players that have issues right now and 99% of those are on Windows Home Edition. When you get into installing mods, that number jumps to roughly 60% have problems but drops to 90% of them on Home Edition Windows.
