Controller problem with Speedlink Torid

When I start the game, I am able to go pass the initial screen with any button on the controller, but further on nothing happens. Neither the joys, nor the d-pad works. Anyone else experienced something similar?

The Speedlink Torid has two Inputmodes(DirectInput and XInput). Have you tried both? Just press the Speedlinkbutton for 3 seconds to switch between the two modes. You may have to restart the game.
Can you tell us in which mode it is working? In DirectInput mode the LED under the Turbo button will be lit. In XInput it is not lit.
But i hope the dev extend the controller support.

Unfortunately none of the modes seem to work, any buttonpress takes me trough the main disclaimer, but after that nothing happens, like the controller is not connected.

I found a fix for it though, you can go to the game page in steam and then controller settings.
