Save Data Location?
I started playing at work during lunch, got home and discovered the game doesn't use Steam's syncing for save data (which I'm okay with), so I'm wondering where the data is saved so I can bring it home later.

We can see that all is readable... and can be modify : no security against cheating :(

Funny that; when testing, I tried deleting my save data from AppData, but that didn't work. Nor did deleting the folder and re-unzipping. Suffice to say that I'm also not sure. You'll have to ask Brett. (He can be reached with brett@mydogzorro.com.)

So just to clarify, there is no save game file as such?
The data is stored in the registry?

Just want to double check, as I currently use google drive to sync save game files for 2 other games (farm sim 2011 and ETS2). If this is stored in registry it seems this will be significantly more difficult :( (unless someone knows of a good workaround for this?

Thanks, guys. Gotta say, that's a little... unweildy to say the least, but thanks for letting me know. I still love the game, and it wasn't hard to get back to where I was at. It's certainly possible to copy registry keys on over from one machine to another, but I don't really want to go through it. I just won't be playing on multiple machines. I will say it's rather unfortunate, having just discovered the green stars (I like to play through a game as best I can before I look up any guides or info) that if my machine needs formatted I'll likely lose all of my progress and need to start over. Getting to the registry of a corrupted Windows install is much harder than getting into the files in my experience.

I would appreciate if you could make the game stores progress in a save file instead of the registry.
I certainly would, as well, if this is something that's possible.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

So :
- execute "regedit.exe"
- go to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\My Dog Zorro\Linelight"
- right clic on the folder > Exporte, it will give a .reg file, which can be seen like a save file
We can see that all is readable... and can be modify : no security against cheating :(

This is a pretty old thread by now, but I really do appreciate you posting this anyway! Thanks for the help.
