Puzzle Chest with Levers

Got a chest with levers. No explanation of what I'm trying to do. Have no idea how many need to be up or down. Please explain how to work this solution so that I can at least do it? For example, how many levers need to be used would be useful.

What I do to solve it very quickly and simply, is flip all the levers down. Any that flip themselves back up, up simply flip them back down once again. Within a few moments all the levers ought to be down and the chest should open.

Up on this question, because I've just stumbled on the same problem.

Clicking randomly untill all levers are down works but it's just boring, so I guess there are rules for a quick and smart solution.

So : what are the rules for those puzzle chests ?

The Tri-colored chest mean you have to get all 3 colors to their respective places by moving the circles they are all in. Takes a little practice, but it's ALWAYS worth opening them and sparing the supplies.

The lever chest is a sequencing problem. All the levers need to be down, but each lever flips other levers back up when pulled. With that in mind, you can figure out the right order.

Or you can use a supply to bypass it!

Basically just start on one side or the other, and one at a time click the levers. When any levers pop back up, remember how many and which one tripped it, and click them back down. Try to always do your "back down" clicks in the same order, because one of those might trigger more levers if it turns out to be wrong.
