Content wise, it's a dungeon crawler/explorer's campaign with so many things to do, to see, monsters and boss monsters of varying degrees of danger to fight, and awesome items to find and discover.
Replayability can be largely up to the individual, but the many achievements to get, the item hoarding and min maxing, and trying out all the classes can be a good time sink. Some people resonate with it more than others.
Playtime can vary person to person, but I myself have so far sunk just under 190 hours and it's been fun all so far.
This game is solid on all points and especially since Garin, the developer, keeps really good contact with the discussions for bugs to squash and improvements to make.
At this point, the Adventure Mode that took over a year to arrive is also available to experiment with. Between weekly challenges, achievements, and the many different styles you can approach it, it's both challenging and fun. (Do remember that some of the reason Adventure Mode can be hard is from you inflicting trouble on yourself.)
And how long is a playthrough?
Take missions carefully and with regard to whatever level you are.
Campaign can take as long as you want it to. Do it at your own pace and make sure to travel around and do other quests to get stronger. You are largely in no rush for time in Campaign missions compared to other missions where you are timed.
This game uses a 30 day calendar in the top right. All non Campaign missions expire after the 30th day in each month. Travel and choose locations wisely and be sure to find the Callstones.
There is a penalty if a non-campaign mission expires but it is fairly minor and really isn't too much to worry about.
Also, callstones are warp points you can unlock in-game which allow you to instantly travel across the world map. You can beat the game without finding them but they sure make things a lot easier.
And what's the level cap?
Right! Thanks for your help! And what exactly is adventure mode?
Adventure Mode is a 2nd play style Godfall has that lets you customize your own dungeon and play it out at varying lengths. You have access to all of the Classes and can build your best team to tackle the dungeon. You can also choose a wide range of modifiers, factions to battle, and conditions for the whole dungeon that are considered custom outside the normal modifiers.
Both the really dangerous and the minor dungeon modifiers are in the mix here from the Campaign mode. If you choose Advanced in the modifiers, you can get some nasty conditions to work in. Be wary.
As a whole, the world's events still keep going. Quests need done, there's a huge map to explore.
There are several optional dungeons to find on the World Map and to conquer.
Any classes you haven't unlocked yet are still to be acquired.
You in total can have up to 5 different teams of up to 4 members to swap out and enough slots between the teams to have at least 1 slot for each different class.
There's so much to do you'll be at it for quite a while.
Go and dig up the article I made in the Discussions here for how to accordingly Scavenge for the best results and not get in trouble too big to handle.
