Tutorial Update

Hello Investigators,

Yes, another day, another tutorial update!

This small v1.1.2 update brings a new tutorial to the game... and this time it's Guided! I've swapped out the old Knowledge Room with a new one that gives guided text that automatically progresses as you perform actions from the tutorial. Hopefully this will be a little more clear than the self-paced, but more confusing swath of markers on the ground.

My first impression is that I was assaulted by way too much reading. I think there's some non-essential text that can be removed and other that can be simplified. I found that everything on-screen was a tad too small, so maybe you could find a way to zoom in the screen if that's possible. There is also some need for control rebinding. Update v1.1.1

Happy Friday Investigators,

Today is a small update that brings some changes I think you've been looking for.

This patch does two things:

It adds new tool slots. Now at levels 7 and 13, you will unlock new tool slots. This means you'll be able to bring up to 2 more tools with you on investigations. These extra tools are delivered outside the house for you to pick up when you need them. In other words, you can't hold more, but you still get more tools.
It lowers the XP requirements to level up by a small amount. This should make it a little faster to progress through earlier levels and hopefully leave a little more XP for unlocking maps.

Update v1.1.0 - The Map Update

Hello Investigators, Happy Friday!

Today brings a bigger update for Spiritus Vindicta and the first major update since the v1.0.0 release!

I'm calling this the "Map Update" as this version introduces a new "Map Interactable" for every type of location in the game.

As you investigate, stay vigilant for a button, or rarely multiple buttons, on the map that trigger special effects or reward you with items. These additions should help give you an edge during investigations and bring some needed uniqueness to the locations.

There are 20 location types in the game, so keep an eye out for all the new interactables and discover what they do!

Here's a sneak peak at what you can expect with some of the earlier location types:

Basic Houses: Temporarily Reveal Hiding Spots

Offices: Security System - Track the ghost location for a short time

Haunted Houses: Force ghost to try and return to his favorite room

[2026-05-11] Next Update

I've been progressing with small patches after the v1.0 release, but the next bigger update is in the works. My plan is to try and make locations a little more interesting. What does this mean? It means that each type of location will be getting a "Map Interactable" that the player can initiate.
