not working on oculus quest 2
hi, i recently bought the quest 2 and i downloaded this game to play but im having a bunch of issues with lagging and black screen, can't even play the game! or if the game loads, it'll only do it for the initial screen and as soon as i try playing or grabbing something it goes right back to lagging and then blackscreen, does anyone know a fix? :(

same, I can load it and play but the game lags pretty badly. Currently playing Half life alyx with no issues! I tried this game via the oculus app but had the same issue.
I ve played in Oculus quest 2 vía alvr and run prety well i'm using a ryzen 3300g gpu included Vega 8 and 16gb ram 3000mhz
TRy cheking the temperature of your CPU when You play if exeds the 70°c You Will have lag

Works for me on Quest2 as well (RTX 2070 and virtual desktop, not link)
check you are connected at 5ghz and not 2.5 if using virtual desktop.
Since I have my router setup to auto-balance with same SSID, I have seen once the Quest decided to hop in 2.5ghz until I disconnected and reconnected to the network

Damn, thank you everyone for answering my posts. To those in the same boat as me, I’m sorry! This sucks a lot lol. I currently have my computer at geeksquad (best buy) to see if there’s any issue with my computer because i get laggy in general when i connect my oculus quest 2 (i have an rtx 2070 super, 16 gb RAM and 15-9600k) and I’m also running my oculus through a 5ghz network. I’m going to try all the suggestions here after i get my computer back and I’ll update everyone shortly. :)

I cant even get it to launch with VRdesktop, and a Quest2 - HALP please

My solution was to lower the super sampling for the game down to 50%. Still looks fine. Not sure why it fails at any value higher than this.

Was this just to get the game booting in VRdesktop?

make sure you are launching through steam and not the oculus store. I have a rift s but my buddy said that's how he got his to work. For reference he uses a link cable. good luck

What's the point of virtual desktop, you might as well be playing flatly on a normal computer instead of a VR headset.
