Are you getting a Steam Cloud error "Unknown" issue when you launch it (won't show on the headset, but will make a ding and show in the lower right corner of your desktop where steam notifications pop up)?
I bought this during the summer sale and haven't been able to launch it.
this tut explains how :3
i used to use virtual desktop back then but now im using steam link, i tried my old virtual desktop and BOOM!!! the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game launched and played first time, unbelivable i thought...all that time messing around with drivers, updates , wires , wifi , settings and everything else i tried , it was infact just steam link not loading the game.
virtual desktop cost money its not free , were as steam link is free ,
VIRTUAL DESKTOP LOADS RICK AND MORTY VR GAME ON STEAM.
Not only did this fix the issue for this game it also fixed four of my other VR games that were not working, some of which I got through the Oculus Store. Battlewake, MagicTableChess, and TroverSavesTheUniverse. Thank you so much.
The environment variable everyone else is suggesting can have other unwanted side-effects across your system.
Here are the steps to do this.
1. Go to control panel
2. Search for environment variables
3. Press on Edit the system environment variables`
4. Press Environment Variables at the bottom of the new window
5. Click on New at the bottom
6. For the variable name put OPENSSL_ia32cap
7. For the variable value put ~0x200000200000000
8. Press Ok and then Ok
9. Enjoy!
