So, knuckles support or not?
Looks like abandonware - wouldn't bet on modern controller support any time soon.
Really sorry to hear about this, and I find it equally sad that this forum also seem to be regarded as abandonware from the developer's point of view. I'd very much like to be wrong, but it seems like they don't want to meet their fans here at all.
I can see why - and I'm puzzled that the developers haven't responded to this post at all. The thread was started in June of 2019 (right now half a year ago). Hopefully they'll wake in in the next 6 months or so.
The developers (same guys as Job Simulator) were contracted out by Adult Swim in 2016/2017 to make this title as a one-off for promotion. The money stopped flowing, and development wrapped on this title a loooooong time ago.
Unless Adult Swim/Nickelodeon start writing cheques again, this game won't see any updates for modern HMD's or controllers.
Given that all of your assumptions are true, you make a good point. Let's hope for the best, and that the developers will fix the Index-support. Seeing that the Index "Knuckles" controllers (and the rest of the setup) are completely sold out in the EU right now, chances are the developers will see that there is actually (more) money to be made if they update the game and start supporting new, modern hardware. Fingers crossed, people!
Index controllers work but they handle like hot garbage in this title. Trigger and grip do the same thing and without proper support the game tends to get confused to whether you are gripping or not. Raising your wrist up to your face doesnt register unless you basically touch the HMD with the edge of the index controller, while it is more responsive with the Vive wands.
Sorry to hear about this, and even more sorry about the developers not being in tune with their fans. As far as I know, they (i.e. Owlchemy Labs) are very much alive. Their latest title - Vacation Simulator - isn't that old, and they should easily be able to bring Rick & Morty up to snuff.
How did you move around in the index? I can’t seem to find a way to do that.
Nvm. I got it. 😁
Since the developers seem to have abandoned this forum (please prove me wrong), do you mind telling the rest of us how you did it, please?
