Discover two unique environments across Colorado and Texas, featuring approximately 100 km² of explorable terrain each. From dense forests to open plains, every area offers new opportunities to track wildlife and find your next trophy.

With 37 animal species to discover, each hunt is an opportunity to put your observation and tracking skills to the test.

Thanks to our SimFauna system, animals grow, age, and develop over time. Their genetics influence trophy potential, making every encounter different.

Pay attention to your surroundings, manage your visibility, noise, and scent, and approach your targets carefully. Every decision can make the difference between a successful hunt and an empty-handed return.

Choose from a wide selection of officially licensed firearms and equipment from renowned brands. Customize your loadout, bring your hunting dog along, and use your knowledge of the terrain to prepare for every situation.

Whether you prefer tracking elusive animals, pursuing contracts, or searching for exceptional trophies, there's always another challenge waiting for you.

Thank you to everyone who played the demo and shared their feedback with us! Your reports and suggestions have helped us identify areas for improvement ahead of launch.

Dear Hunters,

The wait is almost over! Hunting Simulator 3 launches tomorrow, October 29, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S! 🦌

Before heading into the wild, we've put together a recap of what you need to know, answers to some of your most frequently asked questions, and a look at what's planned for the rest of 2026 and 2027.

Get ready to explore the vast wilderness of Colorado and Texas, with approximately 100 km² of terrain per map and 37 animal species to discover.

Track wildlife, take on contracts, bring your hunting dog along, and equip yourself with a wide selection of officially licensed firearms and gear from renowned brands.

With our SimFauna system, animals grow, age, and develop over time. Their genetic potential influences trophy quality, making every encounter unique. Remember to watch your visibility, noise, and scent if you want to get close to your target!

Launch day is only the beginning!

We're already looking ahead to the coming months, with plans for the rest of 2026 and 2027. Our roadmap provides an overview of what we're working towards after release and how we intend to continue supporting Hunting Simulator 3.

As always, plans may evolve as development progresses, and we'll keep you informed as we have more to share.

We've gathered answers to some of the most common questions about Hunting Simulator 3, including animal behavior, trophy scoring, hunting licenses, and more.

Check out our FAQ below to learn more about the game's main systems and prepare for your first hunting trip.

Q: What multiplayer and co-op features can hunters look forward to?

Our first multiplayer update will allow you to join your friends and explore their hunting reserves together, even if you don't own that particular region yourself. This is just the beginning! We want to continue expanding the multiplayer experience over time, with the ambition of making cooperative hunting a truly unique part of Hunting Simulator 3.

Q: Will Hunting Simulator 3 support crossplay between platforms?

Crossplay won't be available with the initial multiplayer release.

Q: The world globe hints at a much bigger journey. What is the long-term vision for the game?

Our goal is to support the game as long as players continue to play it, which in turn supports the team that worked so hard to create it. We already have an initial roadmap packed with updates and extra content, and we aim to keep the game alive with even more releases that will allow players to hunt across other parts of the globe

Q: Can we expect new hunting grounds after launch, such as a European map?

Absolutely! We're exploring several exciting locations for future hunting regions. Hunting traditions, wildlife, and landscapes vary greatly around the world, and we'd love to bring more of that diversity to Hunting Simulator 3. While we can't confirm specific locations just yet, expanding the world is very much part of our vision.

Q: Will new species join the roster in the future?

Yes! We plan to introduce new animal species alongside future hunting regions. At this stage, we don't have plans to add additional species to the existing regions.

Q: Will new weather conditions such as snow and storms be added?

The environments in our launch regions won't undergo major transformations due to weather events. While we don't have any specific new weather conditions to announce right now, it's an area we'd like to explore further in future updates.

Q: Will hunters be able to check weather forecasts or control the weather?

A basic weather forecast is available through the in-game map, allowing you to prepare for upcoming conditions. However, players won't be able to manually control the weather.

Q: Will the arsenal include .22 rifles for small game and birds? What about handguns?

Yes, .22 caliber rifles are available in the game! One of our personal favorites is the Model 572 Fieldmaster. Handguns, however, won't be available at launch.

Q: Will first focal plane (FFP) scopes be added in the future?

Yes, we plan to introduce first focal plane (FFP) scopes in a future update.

Q: Will there be different ammo types, such as polymer tip?

Additional ammunition types, such as polymer-tipped bullets, won't be available at launch.

Q: How does weapon and scope ownership work? Do you choose a caliber at purchase, and can one scope be used across all your rifles?

When you purchase a weapon, you unlock all the calibers supported by that weapon. You can then switch between those calibers at the weapon bench.

Attachments work similarly: once you've purchased a scope or other attachment, it becomes available for use across all compatible weapons. There's no need to purchase the same attachment multiple times.

Q: Will more decoys be added, including mourning dove decoys?

Additional decoys are something we may explore alongside future hunting regions, depending on the wildlife and hunting opportunities they introduce.

Q: Are new weapons and equipment planned after launch?

Yes, new gear is scheduled.

Q: Animal animations have sometimes been described as clunky or robotic. Are improvements planned?

We've heard your feedback regarding animal animations. We'll continue evaluating opportunities to improve the overall experience.

Q: Antlers and horns have been highlighted as areas needing improvement. Are changes planned for launch or beyond?

Yes! Animals will receive a completely new set of antlers for the full release. Horns will remain unchanged for the time being.

Q: Will animals interact across species, with predators actively hunting prey?

Yes! Predator-prey interactions are part of the wildlife experience. However, we've designed these interactions carefully so that predators won't interfere with your hunts by taking away the trophy animals you're tracking.

Q: Is there a storyline to follow?

Each hunting region features its own set of missions for players to discover and complete as they explore the reserve.

Q: Will there be a skill tree for the hunter? And for the hunting dog?

Hunting Simulator 3 doesn't feature traditional skill trees for either the hunter or the hunting dog.

Q: Will we be able to fully customize our hunter, beyond preset options?

At launch, you'll be able to choose from six different hunter characters. You can also customize your clothing throughout the game, whether you're dressing for the hunt or simply expressing your personal style.

Q: For a more immersive experience, can animal outlines and highlight effects behind obstacles be turned off?

Yes! You'll be able to disable animal outlines and highlighting effects in the settings for a more immersive and challenging hunting experience.

Q: Is there a photo mode, and can harvested animals be posed as trophies?

Yes, Hunting Simulator 3 will feature a dedicated Photo Mode, allowing you to capture memorable moments from your hunts. However, posing harvested animals won't be supported at launch.

Q: Does the game use Boone & Crockett scoring, and is there a setting for it?

Our trophy scoring system uses calculations inspired by the Boone & Crockett system, rather than following it exactly. As a result, there is no separate Boone & Crockett scoring option.

We'd also like to expand the ways players can view and appreciate their trophies in the future.

Q: What is the in-game currency used for? Can it be purchased with real money, and will the best items be locked behind it?

Hunting Simulator 3 features two in-game currencies: Credits and Field Points. Both are earned exclusively through gameplay and cannot be purchased with real money.

Credits are your main currency, used to purchase weapons, equipment, and other items. Your Credits are shared across all hunting regions.

Field Points are earned separately in each region by completing objectives in your Field Journal. They can be used to customize the appearance of your hunting lodge in that region.

All purchasable gameplay equipment can be obtained through playing the game, without spending real money.

Missed some of our announcements? Here's a quick recap of what we've shared so far:

• Gameplay Overview: Discover the core hunting experience, wildlife, equipment, and environments.
