Weight - is a number of "weight balls" you have to add to let float sink properly. If weight will be to small it will lay on the surface, if it will be too high it will sink.
You can set proper weight here: https://imgur.com/ojFpouk
What is the benefit of using a larger float? Is there one, at least in terms of gameplay?
Float's length is it's size (bigger will be better visible on water). Line length is the same for all floats.
Got it! Seems a little backwards but I can roll with it
Also hands-down this is the best fishing game. I'm hyped for the sequel! Thanks for making such a good product -- and being so quick on the trigger to answer questions
Thanks! That makes more sense. The larger the float length; the larger the overall size. Got it. For some reason I had it in my head that size didn't equate to better visibility.
The help section is definitely well-explained in pretty much every regard however I didn't see anything in there that actually mentioned what float length and optimal weight meant, which is why I asked here. Some of us are absolute noobs
Add a few bugs like floats lying on the surface and floating in the sky or windmill rods and you get added weights or what not to fix it etc. it does become odd for a new player, even veterans if it is not correctly put together and explained in the game.
Yet all the added functions and content did make this game great. Its just a bit foreign (back too front) imo.
It's the red highlighted area in the picture in the bottom right. The 6 / 25 g next to the green bar means 6 grams of weight currently added to the line / how many grams of weights you own
Rather than hitting the "equip" button to use them, you just move that green slider back and forth. If you need 12 grams of weights on the line then you just move the slider until you hit the 12 gram mark. I had no idea it was a slider either so that's probably where you are getting confused
Hopefully that helps! It confused me too
Devs should update their help file on this, I didn't see any mention or reference to this at all. Not to mention, it is NOT intuitive - you would think you'd click the "Equip" button consistent with almost everything else!
