issues with ice fishing?

i don't know what it is, but i've tried ice fishing, but for some reason the fish keep snapping the line?

i've gotten a better line, and the still keep snapping it

Line isn't really as meaningful as it seems. What you need, in the case of ice fishing, is better rods. In normal fishing, most of the strength comes from the reel for whatever reason. But with ice fishing, the reel is attached to the rod to begin with, so you gotta buy a better rod

make sure your drag is all the way down to prevent access tension on the line. Allow the fish to run and it will eventually get tired and that's when you can reel them in slightly. Some fish I caught in this game have taken me over 5-10 minutes to reel in (sail fish and marlins). Based on fish you are going for, you need to make sure your equipment can handle the tensions or forces the fish exerts on it. Sometimes it's trial and error. If it keeps happening, then I recommend grinding a bit more and upgrading your skills \ equipment.

Hmm, quite convincing Joe, I've been skipping choosing an auger with upgrade points for other attributes i.e., lower store pricing, more experience, etc) but you've changed my mind. See in the winter at Betty Lake. Happy Holidays.
