Hook Size & Fish Size question
Hello, I have two questions, one about hooks and one about fish size, the questions are pretty related.

Basically I don't get the hook sizes? Like I know which ones are bigger. But for example as Lake Baikal I can't use bigger hook size than #3/0 because otherwise it constantly tells me that the hook is too big. Yet I see people catching Sturgeons that are 100+KG.. Is hook size #5/0 really too big for 100KG fish? I've tried almost every map, including DLC maps but I can't use a hook size bigger than #3/0 anywhere consistently as it takes 10+ minutes to catch one fish through all the "consider using a smaller hook" messages.

Now, I wouldn't care if I had to use #3/0 size hook if I was still getting big fish. The issue is that with that hook size, most of my catches even at lvl 10 are like 1KG-8KG fish. Very rarely I get around 10KG... My record right now is 25KG with a #5/0 that I was very lucky to catch.

On the other hand I've read someone say that they caught a 100KG fish with a #3/0 hook size, so I really don't understand...

Anyway basically my two questions are:
How do I choose the correct hook size on different maps and is it normal that #4/0 and higher are too big for literally anything?

How do I catch big fish, especially if it only allows me to use small hooks? I'm lvl 10 and pretty much all equipment at around lvl 10 with my biggest catch being 25KG and I managed to get a number that big just once.

edit:
Also on Lake Baikal I'm struggling to catch fish even with a #3/0 hook, also constantly says that the hook is to obig. And that size only gets me 8KG max fish anyway.

Also sorry I'm not experienced with fishing, I'm not a fisherman in real life either, so I'm sorry if my post is too ignorant lol.

Don't worry about what it says. you can use the bigger size, just won't catch as many fish. They will be larger fish when you do get one.

\it's always been the same, as above ignore the message it just means the fish is too small :)
