Little help with drag?
Hey guys, can somebody explain exactly what drag is and how it works? At the moments I can't really notice a difference between 0 and 100.
I'm having a little difficulty with my line breaking.

example 8/10 precision for 50 kg

0/8 = no brake,reel is open
1/8 clic =12 view on reel=6.25 kg brake real
2/8 clic =25 """""""""""""""=12.5 kg"""""""""""""
3/8 clic=37 """""""""""""""=19.75kg"""""""""""""
4/8 clic=50 view on reel=26kg brake real
5/8 clic=62 """""""""""""""=32.25kg""""""""""""
6/8 clic=75"""""""""""""""=38.5 kg """"""""""""
7/8clic=87 """""""""""""""=42.75kg"""""""""""""
8/8 clic=100""""""""""""" = 50kg brake real
-------------------------------------------------------------
look all model ( precision)

7/10= 7 setting for max,

8/10= 8 setting for max
ect....

Sorry I'm a little confused by which way around it is...
0 = no brake. Does this mean that any weight can pull the line, or that no weight can pull the line?
0 fish escape because no brake on line
best is 50 at 71/75 max

No brake means that any weight will pull the line, and reeling is futile (for the most part). The lower the drag number, the less tension on the line, and the easier it is for the fish to pull line from the reel. 100 drag means that the fish can not pull out line. You use the drag to tire the fish, but the higher the frag, the more you take the chance of a line break.

No offense, but there is no "best" setting. Tactics will vary for different species, as well as different tackle. It will also vary on the size of the caught fish. A 1 kg largemouth bass will take very different settings and skill versus a 950 kg blue marlin.

Got it! Thanks alot :) I'm really struggling with the fact there is no description on any of the gear, and the fish behavior is unknown to me. It's alot of trial and error really to find what works. Trying to catch Baikal Sturgeons at the moment my setup is a Dakino DXS Spinning Rod, with a Kubot GTI Casting Reel. Float fishing with #5/0 hooks and Cutbait.

Yes you are right,
but if you have the right equipment you can stay at 50 on almost any fish

I have a good foundation

marlin of 950 kg? ,, I only saw the marlin at 900 kg

The ingame encyclopedia says the blue marlin are up to 950 kg
950 is when he has to eat the fisherman
lol ;)

I would challenge that with the idea that, OK, you're good at 50, nice and comfortable and can catch the fish you are looking for - good deal. Now, figure out how to catch them, faster, because I guarantee you, 50 isn't the most efficient setting. I do this too, but I add an extra step after I can reliably catch them:

I will get comfortable with a set of settings and then once that is done, I will challenge them, try to do evertyhing I can to not lose a fish, while doing things that should lose them. Eventually I find a better way.

The grass carp in this game are what really taught me the basics of drag. Great fun to catch though :)
when you have the right fitting (wire, reel, rod) for the fish look trout, salmon, pike, marlin ect .... put a 50 is a very good. base to start.

but it is clear that each fish requires an assembly (wire, reel, rod) to affirm what I write.

and this note is a basic reference, if you start like this, it's almost good for any fish
