Baikal Sturgeon help?
Not sure if this a bug or not but I've tried to catch Sturgeon many times using a lot of different baits and hook. I've used #1, #2 and #3 hook, even treble hook #3. Baits; red worms, cutbait, maggot, peas. The Sturgeon would just ignore the bait, I tested this more than 4 hours, even changing rod and line doesn't work. I never caught a single Sturgeon and I'm at level 10.

I caught other fishes though; pike, baikal omul, whitefish and perch but not much. Sometimes the pike spawn suddenly, the hunter vision doesn't work on pike (the pike doesn't turn green).

So, anyone caught a lot of Sturgeons? any tips to get the Sturgeon?
Or if this really a bug. :(

edit:
Oh yea I did try other type of lures: wobbler, spinner, soft bait. Still, Sturgeon just ignores it.

Use small or large cut bait + float. Go the 4th hook on the inv. list and start with #4/0 or #5/0 and move up to #7/0 as you catch bigger fish. The smallest Sturgeon are around 20lbs.

The new hook sizes are somewhat confusing. My advice on that would be to go to Betty Lake and see what size fish you catch with each hook selelction. It goes #8-#1 then #1/0 and upwards.

I did as what you told and I got 4 Sturgeons in short time, using small cut bait. Finally!
The first one take quite long time for it to bite though.

Thank you so much for the tips! :steamhappy:

And yea, I'm kind of confused myself about the hooks that have "#/0", not sure what that means.

Glad to be of help!

#8-#1 are smaller hook sizes
#1/0-and up are bigger sizes (#7/0 is biggest size for Betty Lake)
Strangely enough the tri-hooks seem to have smaller hooks on them.
