Fastest way to catch fish

I'm working towards 100% achievement completion in this game, and I really like that there is one achievement per fish, so that you need to get at least one of each.

There is one achievement though, that seems a bit excessive. Catch 10000 fish. That's ten thousand. It's quite a lot.

So, I was wondering what would be the fastest way to catch the most amount of fish?

So far I'm at 1000, and my method is to go Ice-fishing in the 1st map, with a size #2/0 hook and 2 maggots. This gets me around 90 fish per hour if all goes smoothly. Is there a faster method?

Use a super small hook so you can just reel in the small fish fast.
