Tips on catching Cutthroat trout.

You can't. But since the cutthroats are small, you can limit them a little by using hook 1 if you just want to get the fish level up. If you haven't leveled brook and bull yet, you will probably still get some of those as well (heck, even if you did level then you'll probably get a few of those too).

Was kinda hoping they were attracted to a soft lure colour so I could level just this type.

Actually, cutthroats and bulls seem to bite more on lures than the other trout. But again its a bit random. Regarding depth, as far as i have tested, there is no real difference between f ex 30 cm and 250 cm other than the psychological effect ;)

Yes the flat spoon is good for them all, I think i jumped the gun when I started this game and any thing still needing a level 1 vanished. Ive caught one now though, 1000 more to go lol.

I only get bulls on lures there. In the beginning both spoons and spinners works well , but then when the fish levelled up none of it worked. Only lure I get bites on there now is 2/5 Plastic shad , and that's the bulls. I don't get why the fish would bite on 1/5 to 3/5 hooks with baits , but they don't bite on 1/5 to 3/5 lures. ( With the exception of Bulls on 2/5 Shad ). It disappointed me when the lures died there as I prefer lures over float fishing. On a side note , all there was easy to level up except the Brooks. They were rare to catch.

We should be using all different types really to enjoy the game more but a dry fly and float is all you need really for every trout (depending on hook). lovely canada map lake though so try everything and enjoy the view.
