I got this game to try playing with my father who has an older Alienware laptop. The bar does not animate smoothly on his rig, as if it is lagging. Inputs and responses on the tension bar seem delayed. It doesn't animate the tension going up, then spikes into red with little to no time to react.
I'm looking for a setting or something to fix the "lag".
(And before someone says buy a new computer, I know that would help.)
I'm getting about 20-25 fps consistently with textures set to high and AA off.
i7-3740qm @2.70ghz
12gb ram
geforce gtx 675m
I'm not sure, but i think that those stats are just over the minimum.
Shadowplay won't record, so I'm not sure if I can get you a recording.
On my PC, the tension bar can spike and such but it gives at least some build up and warning before going totally red. On my father's laptop, a lot of the time there is no building up of the animation on the bar before it is red. It is like the computer "forgot " to animate the bar filling, then just catches up and it is already full. It behaves like a warning light instead of a bar that fills up. When just pulling something in, it will animate and stay green, it just seems to be a little bit behind real time.
Thank you for reading this, and for the help!
Lower the settings to get at least stable 30 fps and check if it happens also.
I did not have this problem before during my levelling form 1 to 21.
Whenever I pull the rod or the line, the tension bar will stay still and delay for a second before SNAPPING from green to full.
The fish can do a sudden struggle for sure, but doesn't make sense to react so slow that it will wait 1 second before increasing my tension bar each time after I pull the rod.
This makes the game unplayable, unless with a proper reason like "yes Greenland Sharks are numb and your rod is too good so you will feel the tension delayed".
I am using GTX1080ti and all graphic was set to highest and the game was running very smooth.
