Is there anything Marlins cannot resist?
I see some Marlins in Pinas Bay but I can't figure it out what they like the most. Cuttbaits doesn't seem to work, nor luring methods with a wobbler. The encyclopedia and the equipment description tells me these things are ideal for catching Marlins. What other things I have to use besides these? I have a really nice setup with high kilogramm durability reel, rod and line. I can't think of anything else but the weather. The encyclopedia says some of the species prefer to bite at morning and some of them prefer to bite at noon.

If you use 6/0, 8/0 or 9/0 hooks and get warning about hook being too large, i think your in the wrong area. The really large marlins, are around 800 Kg. The 100Kg marlins we are talking about here, are small for being marlins. And you can get anything between that. The fish i lost cause i had no chance to stop it, i think i used 10/0 or 11/0 hook to get it. Yeah, waiting until you have better gear and then come back is a good idea. Catching those 100Kg marlins was fun, but losing that big marlin made me leave with the intention on coming back with better gear.

Dont stay at the docks, go out in the open ocean. Cutbait seems to work best, use plenty of it and very large hooks. Jiggle the bait alot after throwing out, and wait a few mins, and jiggle again. And yeah, you have to throw in an area where they patrol. Best of luck!

I've tried wobbler, spinner, maggots, wax worms, red worms. But they wouldnt bite on that. It might be the weather as you said, but i really dont know.

I had went out in the open ocean before it was cool. What do you think why would I mention that I saw them in Pinas Bay? Because I've been there. Whenever I used those Cuttbait and had a 7th to 9th hook size the game kept telling me I should use smaller hook cause of no bite. I thrown into the area where they were swimming around, but my Cuttbait didn't attract them. Is it possible that I cannot catch Marlin because of my current level in the game? Now I tried the weather according the encyclopedia, but still nothing. Blue Marlins like the Clear and sunny, but windy weather at noon, while Black ones prefer the same but at morning. I tried both and now I ran out of ideas.

drive your boat out past the marker bouy look for the big dots on your sounder then try the big green soft bait skirt lure or the orange big skirt lure cast out and retrieve at 3 speed and hold on

Retrieve at 3 speed and hold on? Is this supposed to be the Stop and Go technique or something?

First of all, my catch has alwas been in the morning, far out of the bay. (Got to drive so far from the docks that it loads open ocean)

Yes, they might be around the docks as well, but have not been able to catch any there.
First time i was in the open ocean area, i used 5/0 hooks, and i got a message that i had too small hook. So i used 7/0 or 9/0 hooks, or around that size, and got 2 marlins at around 100kg each. Then i got something bigger hooked on, and that i had no chance to stop, i eventually ran out of line when it passed 180m. I figured i would come back to that area when i have more powerful gear. Those 100Kg marlin can still be done, but even then its a though fight. Just look at the leaderboard, and see how big they can really get. Be prepared.

Heres a grab of one of those, note the hook size, bait and time.

i used 2 big and 1 small cuttbait. Is the size and number of those baits on hook influencing the success rate of the actual attraction and bite of a Marlin? So the big cuttbait I was thinking about was correct from the very beginning. The hook size warnings made me confused, because until now I used to always work, but in Pinas Bay, in the open ocean it doesn't or at least I hope we are talking about the same location. I used the 6/0, 8/0 and 9/0 hook size all around on various daytime. Nothing happened. I have seen someone caught a Black Marlin with the weight like OMG...250 kg. That's insane man. I didn't check the leaderboard, but I saw people in the chat window catching tremendous amount of Marlins with ridiculous weight. I think as I see some items are unavailable for me cause I'm not leveled up enough, I will come back to Pinas Bay's ocean region as soon as I hit level 20.

800 Kg!!?? That's unbeleivable. How can people just pull out such a monster from the ocean in real life if it's this heavy? Btw...In the future, I better use 9/0 hook size the minimum or above if I really want to catch Marlins, because I'm pretty sure now I did't even buy the right size of the hook and they don't even bite below it's size. During Hunter Vision I managed to see Marlins coming to my cuttbaits direction, but didn't bite and this must be the reason. If there are these size of hooks, then 100 Kg Marlins will be able to bite it at the very least if not bigger ones.

It seems to me, there is no risk in using big hooks, or even the largest hooks you can find. Using smaller hooks, might cause them to not bite, if its too small. Where the limit is, i do not know.
(well there is a risk, you might get very large fish you cant handle)

Yeah, 800Kg is insane. But thats at the top of the leaderboard, and with the biggest fish in game.

Thank you so much for all the information. I prepare for this later.
