hooks sizes have bug ? i start get bored how this work

hook size in this game matter at all? i use hook lvl 3/5 i get fish 5k 12 k i use hook lvl 5/0 i get like fish lv 4k 10k, hooks in this game make any sense man what hell is this? in this game is all about luck? i can get fishs 12 18k hook lvl 1 is low lvl and lvl 3, and 5 i get 4 8 10 k fish size?, hooks in this game no make any sense i start get bored sorry my eng.

i have test all hooks is all about luck man i can get fish 25k hook lvl 3 like i can make same thing hook lvl 6/9 sorry but sistem hooks in this game no make any sense.
some fishs got same size mouth? and weight? for both hooks lvl 1, lvl 5, lvl,6 lol

Same as IRL Sandra. Just because you pick a size of hook the fish doesn't know what that means. All it sees is bait and if it can fit it in it's greedy little mouth it will eat it. The fish could be 4oz or 40lb that's the joy of fishing. The only trouble comes is if you are set up on light tackle and a big fish takes your bait you are in for one hell of a fight. Bigger hooks will /well should illiminate smaller annoying fish as they are too small to take the bait which means less bites but better standard of fish. Small hooks you do not have that luxury any fish will find it a target. With that in mind I would go somewhere in the middle So only the real tiddlers won't bother you but your gear will be strong enough just in case a large fish takes you for a few laps of the lake :)

Don't agree with OP. Hook size matters a lot in the game. At all lakes , bigger hooks catch bigger fish consistantly. You still get some small ones on big hooks , like it should be , but not as many as when using small hooks. I haven't had any issues with hook sizes not making a difference , it makes a big difference. For example 1/0 will catch mostly small to medium sizes. But using 5/0 will catch mostly the bigger sizes. Increasing the size of the hook defnitely reduces the amount of small fish caught.

right i can understand but sometimes i fish about 3 h 1/0 i can get like 10fishs 43 lb in first map and sometimes if i use 5/0 i only get fishs 30 lb ,i still think someting not right

I have gotten over 100lb mirror on a 3/0 and not sure if I got one on a 6/0 or 7/0 at all. Got plenty of smaller ones on those. Easy to reel in also I still dont even bother with more than 0 drag. Dunno if it means hook size is broken lol its just what i noticed.

size 2# and 1# is as big as you would ever go for carp IRL. 1/0 - 10/0 are sea hooks 10/0 is for Jaws 10/0 is like 4 inches long and 2 inches wide lols

You will get big ones on 3/0 as well , that's how it should be in game. When I go for the max carp though ( 49.x kg ) I only use 5/0 to 7/0 and catch plenty on them as the small ones are being caught less then. Hook sizes are working as intended from what I've seen at all lakes so far. Key being "as intended " as this is a game. IRL though Sirkipalot is correct , x/0 hooks is too big for carp. Personally I use #4 on 12lb mainline with 15lb strops IRL for carp. But this isn't RL and all games I've seen so far with exception of one employ this x/0 hooks have to be used for big fish system.

ok i start understand someting but for get trout in first map what is best hook? i use 3/5i only get like trouts 8kg,12kg i want get all max:)

trout......5/0???

I use 6/0 okena wobbler for them alot. Or rather I did before the pod update now I mostly dont have time to use it lol.

As I promised, here is a video. It is showing how fish are spawned at maps. I choosed atschafalaya and baikal. Our fish spawn random on whole map. After that they can move where they want, they can swim from left shore to right, etc.
