Can't reel in fish

This new update broke the game for me as I can't reel any fish in, the meter that counts the distance the fish is at won't reduce and I can't pull it out of water.

silly question but are they big fish or tiddlers? I say that because when you start the drag meter is on zero and not really that important on small fish so you should be able to reel them in. but if you are catching bigger fish you need to adjust the drag meter because on 0 it is just the same as the fish swimming away with the line without any resistance no matter how long you reel in. As you adjust the resistance goes up and the fish will slow and then stop . You should then start to see the yardage drop as you reel in. If it isn't anything like that then I have no idea and prob is a bug . :)

Big fish man, I'm fishing for big carps and grassies at Zeno lakes, here's what happens.

I get a fish on, I adjust the drag and I even pull the fish close to the shore right in front of me but the fish distance meter is always the same for example 30 m, I pull the fish in really close but the net button (E) won't show up and fish distance is still the same but when I start walking towards the fish the distance reduces it won't reduce at all when I'm reeling the fish in.

I am with you it happened to me i cast out and the fish was at 26m . but i couldn't reel the fish in any closer. But the fish was in front of me like 2 meters out but I still couldn't net it because that fish can't be in 2 places at once. Raintek said that this bug was being fixed in the last update or was on the list to be fixed. Perhaps he hasn't done it yet. I'd repost it in the bug section just to get his attention.

Will UFS2 ever fix the bugs in this game? I get a big fish on while using live bait and I reel and reel and the fish just stops and doesn't come in!!
