Tiny trout breaking a 25kg line?

honestly i am fed up of little fish escaping because of the tension bar.
lets face it, a tiny less than 2kg fish can not break such a line (25kg).
it seems no matter what my equipment upgrades are its the same story over and over.
i end up having to lower the drag resulting in the fish going over the 100 meter limit please fix this.

I agree this paticular item needs a lot of work. Very unrealistic.

We are working on improving/fixing fights and equipment behavior right now, so there will be many changes during this and next week. You can check the latest update (it was uploaded an hour ago) which fixes some issues with fighting small fish.

i played after the update.
even fish at 15kg it's the same thing.
the line at 25kg should not result in them breaking the line or escaping so often due to being forced to lesson the drag.
i tend to make youtube videos and stream a lot and this is one game i would enjoy uploading and streaming but at the state things are now it just doesnt seem the right time to do so.

Are you sure that you have the latest version (0.4.3:234)? Your post appeared just after upload, so if you had the game running at that moment, Steam didn't download update.

in reality i should just be able to pull in this fish. max one i cought is about 5kg or less in this lake.

instead if i want to catch a fish this small i have to fight it and constantly change the drag as to not break a 25kg line.

I tried the new update back at Betty Lake. I equiped my level one gear and definately noticed a good improvement. I caught a small bull trout and didn't have any difficulty in bringing it in with drag set a low setting. I then used a larger hook and caught a larger bull trout and had to manipulate the drag to bring it safely in. A step in the right direction for sure. Good job.
