worst controls on VR so far
This game barely moves on the oculus quest 2. Anyone else has this issue? if so should I return it?

Tested with Oculus Touch controllers, and no issues on our side. Can you please be more specific? Maybe there is something you missed in the tutorial or in the controls menu. I will gladly help.

Well I dont like that the right thumb stick is used for movement. And when I try to move it sends me the wrong direction or none at all

You can orientate yourself by pointing your left hand towards where you want to go. Locomotion controls are mapped on the right stick exclusively for the moment. Left stick is used for other interactions. This is a pretty standard VR control scheme and we're sorry if you don't like it.

I was also surprised by the strange controls. I play on Oculus Quest 2 by Air Link.

This is not true - 99% of games use the left joystick to move. To be honest, in five years in VR, in the first game I see a move to the right joystick. Well, OK, you are developers, you know better. But, at least let me swap my hands!

The visual style and music of the game are gorgeous, but moving and controlling the game is really some kind of hell.
See how the same is made Half-Life Alyx or BONEWORKS.

Further. Why call up the menu by long pressing on the left stick, when you just have the "menu" button on the left Oculus Touch?

Why, when you call the shield, the movement changes and you can only go in the direction where the shield points? Why does the AR mode work somehow strangely, it is turned on and on, but in fact it does not work until you turn it on again... why is it necessary to poke the button on the right hand several times to turn on the AR mode?

I don't want to make a refund due to strange management. I hope you will fix it, or at least let me swap my hands.

to be fair, even in Half-Life: Alyx, there were problems for lefties at the start, until they released a patch that fixed these problems)

Thank you, Im only a year into VR so I wasnt sure it was just me who felt this way.

The game is amazing and I hope one day these issues are addressed.

No, on the one hand, I understand why this is done. There, the bot control is done on the left stick. But, is there really more games by a bot than movements by the player himself? I just passed the training, and was surprised by this unusual control system. I need to start at least the first level to try to play, maybe then I will understand this idea.

But, in any case, changing hands would be useful, because I would prefer to move the player with my left hand, and control the bot with my right.

Another strange thing: we press the button on the left hand, and the flashlight shines from the right.

In any case, if the gameplay is not too active and this is a leisurely quest, then you can play like this, just get used to it. But if there are active moments and shootouts, it will be really difficult.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your detailed feedback. We are actually working on a fix for Oculus Quest not being properly detected in some situations (mostly in wireless mode).
As for the controls and a left handed mode, we began to brainstorm about new mapping and bindings to let you have the most comfortable and pleasant experience. This can take a little while as we need to test on a variety of situations and on the new levels in current development, where bot control will be more present. We want the experience to be satisfying for everyone, so we take all your issues very seriously.
Anyway, thanks again for your feedback and critics. Being a very small team, we can lose focus on some details while we concentrate on other aspects of the game. We are glad some of you enjoy the game as it is and the universe we created. Thanks to your positive criticism, you help us greatly to enhance the game.

well, I played again today, if there are no very active moments in the game, then it's fine, the atmosphere is fantastic)
