This is not true - 99% of games use the left joystick to move. To be honest, in five years in VR, in the first game I see a move to the right joystick. Well, OK, you are developers, you know better. But, at least let me swap my hands!
The visual style and music of the game are gorgeous, but moving and controlling the game is really some kind of hell.
See how the same is made Half-Life Alyx or BONEWORKS.
Further. Why call up the menu by long pressing on the left stick, when you just have the "menu" button on the left Oculus Touch?
Why, when you call the shield, the movement changes and you can only go in the direction where the shield points? Why does the AR mode work somehow strangely, it is turned on and on, but in fact it does not work until you turn it on again... why is it necessary to poke the button on the right hand several times to turn on the AR mode?
I don't want to make a refund due to strange management. I hope you will fix it, or at least let me swap my hands.
The game is amazing and I hope one day these issues are addressed.
But, in any case, changing hands would be useful, because I would prefer to move the player with my left hand, and control the bot with my right.
Another strange thing: we press the button on the left hand, and the flashlight shines from the right.
In any case, if the gameplay is not too active and this is a leisurely quest, then you can play like this, just get used to it. But if there are active moments and shootouts, it will be really difficult.
As for the controls and a left handed mode, we began to brainstorm about new mapping and bindings to let you have the most comfortable and pleasant experience. This can take a little while as we need to test on a variety of situations and on the new levels in current development, where bot control will be more present. We want the experience to be satisfying for everyone, so we take all your issues very seriously.
Anyway, thanks again for your feedback and critics. Being a very small team, we can lose focus on some details while we concentrate on other aspects of the game. We are glad some of you enjoy the game as it is and the universe we created. Thanks to your positive criticism, you help us greatly to enhance the game.
