Death and saves
Why on death would you be thrown back to some random save point? I had a later save point and the game when I died didn't load that but some random point from about 2 hours earlier. What is the reasoning for this? I might as well just start over if I am going to lose 2 hours of progress after only playing 3 hours.

same thing happened to me just, i died whilst sleeping and started back about 5 minutes prior which wasnt so bad.

decided to rush out and find food and water which i couldnt find enough of, anyways i found SOME and went back to the church because there was arguing goin on. Half way back to the church i died and ended up back at the same respawn point as before, and lost all my stuff i spent 45 minutes searching for :/

not fun. If you die it should just be game over because theres nothing worse than grinding and then losing all you progress

It should have an ironman option IMO.

Agreed, this is so far the worst thing of this game.
We need to "sleep" for saving data, but if your character state is higher than 80% then it wont allow u to sleep, which made the saving function not working.
What a STUPID design.

I think it saves when you enter/exit the church, not 100% sure, but I thought it did.

No it did not, at least not for me. I d like it to be that way, but my data went back from day 17 to day 8 after death.

Well it seems to for me, so I don't know what to tell you. I assume its a bug.

I regularly enter/exit church to force a save, when the controls go wonky (ie cant select stuff). Then I quit and reload. So either exiting/entering does it, or quiting does.

A drop of that much makes me think the save got corrupted so it fell back to further save point.

How the hell did you die?! Lol. Game is quite easy.

I think the game saves when you sleep. And if you die, you are brought back to the last time you slept.
Yet, when you exit / enter the game, it takes you to the last location you exited.
