You can also experiment with features such as Simple Controls, Free Roam and Livery Designer, giving you a place to learn the basics before deciding where you want your collection to go next.

From there, you can purchase compatible Train Sim World 7 routes and locomotives individually, or pick up compatible Add-ons from previous Train Sim World releases and start building the railway collection that interests you.

Returning players can also use the Free Starter Edition as their way into Train Sim World 7, downloading compatible content they already own and enjoying their favourite routes with the latest core game and features.

Train Sim World 7 introduces three completely new core routes, each bringing a very different type of railway experience.

Head north and explore a 54-mile branching network across Yorkshire.

Take charge of modern Northern commuter services with the BR Class 331, stretch the legs of the LNER Class 801 Azuma or switch passenger duties for heavy aggregate traffic with the included Class 66 and HYA Limestone Hopper.

The network links Leeds and Bradford with Skipton and Ilkley, while Neville Hill Depot, Rylstone Quarry and freight-only branches bring even more variety to your working day.

Deluxe and Ultimate Edition players can also get behind the controls of the Northern BR Class 333, adding further services and scenarios across the network.

Regional services, S-Bahn traffic, high-speed running and freight all come together across more than 100 km of German railway.

Take control of the new DB BR 440, operate S-Bahn services with the DB BR 442 Talent 2, head out on long-distance journeys aboard the ICE 1 or put the DB BR 193 Vectron to work on freight duties around Nürnberg Rbf and beyond.

All aboard for the Sunshine State!

Train Sim World heads to South Florida for the first time, with more than 45 miles of railway stretching from Miami Airport through Fort Lauderdale to Boca Raton.

Take charge of colourful Tri-Rail commuter services with the BL36PH and F40PH-3C, complete with Rotem double-deck equipment, before swapping passengers for freight with the included CSX SD40-2 and GP38-2.

Deluxe and Ultimate Edition players can add another piece of Tri-Rail history with the GP49H-3, bringing an additional locomotive and more gameplay to the route.

Alongside three new routes, Train Sim World 7 brings a range of new features, graphical improvements and quality-of-life updates.

Want to get moving without learning every cab control first?

Simple Controls offer a streamlined way to drive using straightforward Power and Brake controls, making it easier for new players to get behind the controls while leaving the full simulation experience available for those who want it.

Please note that Simple Controls are not available in Scenarios or Tutorials, where the standard control setup is used.

Take freight into your own hands with the brand-new Freight Hauler mode.

Freight cars are distributed around the route waiting to reach their destinations. Choose your locomotive, inspect what needs moving, set your own path and complete the job your way before receiving a score at the end of your session.

Live Weather allows supported services to use current real-world weather conditions for the location you're driving through when connected to Dovetail Live.

We've also overhauled Dynamic Weather, improving the variety of conditions and the transitions between them.

Train Sim World 7 introduces Enhanced Lighting, bringing new depth and atmosphere to environments across the game.

High-end PC players can take things even further with the new Epic graphical settings, extending draw distances, improving shadows and increasing Level of Detail ranges.

Train Sim World 7 also introduces native DirectX 12 support alongside additional upscaling options for compatible PC hardware.

We've made improvements throughout Train Sim World 7 to make getting into and enjoying your journeys easier.

These include faster loading times, adjustable Field of View, improved Temporary Speed Restrictions, configurable default Safety Systems, AI Conductor, faster external cameras, controller improvements, Steam Deck support, Steam Cloud Saving and a refreshed menu interface.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us during Early Access.

We've loved seeing your first journeys, screenshots, videos and feedback over the last few days, and that feedback has also helped our teams identify issues ahead of today's wider launch.

The following fixes have already been implemented:

• Resolved an issue where AI Conductor was causing a crash with the BR 440, FP40PH-3, and GP49 locos when stopping at a station.

• Fixed an issue where AI Conductor was causing a crash when set to 'Realistic' in the RE10 (58205) service on Nürnberg to Würzburg.

• Fixed an issue where AI Conductor set to ‘Realistic’ was managing door operation on the BR 442 Talent 2 where it shouldn’t.

Train Sim World 7 might be launching today, but your next journey isn't far away.

On September 29th, Train Sim World heads to Japan for the very first time with Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu - Tadami, developed by Union Workshop.

Stretching for 88 km through the mountains and valleys of Fukushima Prefecture, this rural single-track railway calls at 28 stations as it follows the Tadami River through the beautiful Oku Aizu region.

Take control of the classic KiHa 40, learn Japanese railway operations and experience Train Sim World's first narrow-gauge Japanese route across changing seasons and spectacular scenery.

Today we wanted to share the full list of improvements that will be arriving with Train Sim World 7’s full launch today.

This is just the first of our weekly updates that will fold in key fixes from our testing, and directly addressing issues raise by feedback. Thank you for all the reports sent so far, we’re hoping this list helps address many of those initial issues and outlines what we’re looking at next.

Live Weather

• Improved the transition smoothing between weather changes with Live Weather

• Fixed an issue to live weather not applying after loading a save

• Changes made to live weather system based on community feedback around fog and clouds

• Ensured the date displayed on consoles is accurate on the live weather toggle

Beginner/Simple Controls

• Added a pop-up when trying to use Beginner Controls on scenarios and tutorials that not all features may work when using them due to the design of the scenario/tutorial.

• When running Beginner Controls, expert mode settings are now disabled.

• Fixed an issue where a train reverser failed to default to the forward position when loading into a service when using Beginner Controls.

• Fixed an issue where the reverser can be changed when a train is moving when using Beginner Controls.

• Fixed a crash when playing the ‘Navigation and Interaction’ training module with Beginner Controls enabled.

• Fixed an issue with Beginner Controls where the player couldn’t get back into driver view after changing to camera view when using a controller.

• When using the external camera with Beginner Controls, it now acts more like the immersive controls setting.

AI Conductor

• Small logic updates to AI conductors, speeding up button/level gameplay tasks. Freight Hauler

• Fixed an issue where timetable services were not locked out when playing in Freight Hauler mode.

• Made some QoL changes to Freight Hauler mode to stop intersecting parts causing derailment.

• Fixed an issue where the game could crash when reloading a Freight Hauler save.

General

• Fixed a tool tip that was out of place on Digital Displays when no mouse was attached.

• Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when the player could toggle to the Settings menu if you it is the first time launching the game.

• Updated localization throughout the title.

Steam Deck

• Increased font size on Steam Deck in multiple areas.

• Button prompts should now always display when playing on Steam Deck instead of Mouse and Keyboard options.

• Added missing magnets at Würzburg Hbf

• Updated some naming inaccuracies with stations across the route

• Updated wait time on DB BR 294 services

• Fixed an issue where the signal was not visible from the cab at Nürnberg Hbf Platform 17

• Fixed an issue with floating cars around Nürnberg Rothenburger Straße

• Fixed an issue where passengers failed to embark/disembark the train from platform 3 at Kitizingen Station

• Fixed an issue with passengers clipping through the platform at Nürnberg-Sandreuth station

• Fixed an issue where passengers clipping through the platform while at 'Puschendorf' Station

• Fixed an issue where lifts weren’t working at Würzburg Hbf.

• Fixed missing textures to screw decals

• Adjusted the fence at Rottendorf station so it no longer clips incorrectly

• Adjusted issues with grass spawning on the road, and general other polish work on the roads around Nürnberg Rothenburger Straße.

• Adjusted issues with grass clipping through the platforms at Dettelbach station

• Various localisation improvements across the route

BR 440

• Fixed an issue with the BR440 safety systems not being enabled by default with the setting on.

BR 442

• The doorstep will now operate when using the passenger doors on the BR 442

• Fixed an issue where AI conductors would operate train doors incorrectly when in realistic mode for the BR 442

• Fixed an issue while Stationary with the doors open on the BR 442 to allow the player to freely leave and climb from the passenger doors

• Adjusted the step indicator button in the BR 442 to diminish as expected at various speeds and when stopped completely.

• Adjusted the left and right passenger door buttons to illuminate only for the side(s) that are currently unlocked. The step indicator is now also illuminated.

• Doors should no longer trap players inside or outside of the train on the BR 442

• AI conductors can now operate doors on the BR 442 as expected

BR 401 ICE 1

• Updated name for ICE1 14 Car in Livery Editor to ‘BR 401 (14 Car)’. Fixed an issue where the external camera would spawn inside the ICE1

BR 412 ICE 4

• Fixed an issue when holding a set AFB speed was causing issues when going downhill.

• Updated the 1st Class and 2nd Class stickers on the doors of the train to appear in the correct places.

• Reworked the lighting throughout Miami Airport

• F40PH-3C and GP49 will now appear as substitution services for BL36PH services

• AI-run BL36PH trains should no longer have wipers enabled passively

• Fixed reported issues with the safety systems on the BL36PH

• Fixed an issue where the player is unable to use the reverser handle on the F40PH-3C and SD40-2 CSX in Free Roam

• Fixed an issue where the incorrect footstep noises would play when walking on tarmac or concrete at various stations

• Fixed an issue where one of the crossing gates in the first section could be interacted with twice in the Tonight’s the Night scenario

• Fixed an issue where the crossing gate interaction sound would loudly play when entering a new tile in the Tonight’s the Night scenario

• Adjusted the crossing gate interaction logic so the collision on the gate arm is now disabled once it gets hidden in the Tonight’s the Night scenario

• Adjusted the position of the ending walk to marker, NPC character and pickup truck in the Tonight’s the Night scenario

• Updated the points awarded for driving with the alerter disabled or enabled.

• Updated Loco HUD to ensure EATC is displayed correctly across new locomotives included on Tri-Rail Florida.

• Update the position of the Rotem Coach Cab Air Hoses to meet the pipes they were housed in

• Various localisation improvements across the route

Tri-Rail GP49H-3

• Updated Loco HUD to ensure EATC is displayed.

• Fixed an issue where the door icon wouldn’t be displayed when using the GP49

• Fixed an issue where the player would spawn in the incorrect train when loading some rail journey services for the GP49

• Fixed an issue where the throttle wouldn’t work as intended after coupling with a cab when using Beginner Controls

• Fixed an issue where the lights were not on when being used by AI trains

• Fixed an issue where the ‘Headlight Front’ and ‘Headlight Back’ were appearing the wrong way round

• Livery and Formation Designer should now work as expected with Steam Cloud Save

• Updated the canal water colour and foliage colours throughout the route

• Updated level of reflections from trains leaving Leeds station

• Fixed an issue with the audio announcements overlapping causing bad reverb in Leeds station

• Fixed an issue where a tree and signal overlapping between Bingley and Saltaire

• Removed grass from track near the Salt Mills by Saltaire

• Fixed an issue where passengers are missing at multiple stations during '2H11 Skipton to Leeds' service

• Fixed an issue where rain was falling inside shelters

• Fixed an issue where passengers were falling at platform 11 in Leeds station

• Fixed an issue where the Class 331/0 "STATION" page display showed an incorrect indicator for the middle car

• Fixed an issue with the station name overlapping with the cars number on the TMS screen during the 'Calling in a Favour' scenario

• Fixed an issue with OHLE wires clipping at Bingley

• Fixed an announcement that was incorrect at Leeds station for a train that isn’t terminating at that station.

• Fixed an issue with the filter text clipping another button in the Livery Editor when playing in German

• Various updates to the landscape throughout the route

• Various localisation improvements across the route

Class 331

• Adjusted and increased the running sounds for Class 331 when moving between 85-100mph internally and externally

• Updates to various audio when operating the Class 331

• Updated the display for the traction power

• Fixed an issue where the AI conductor wouldn’t give you two buzzes once the departure sequence was complete

LNER Class 801

• Fixed an issue where the gangway between the front coach and next coach where missing on the Class 801, 5 and 9 car variants

Class 333

• Fixed an issue where the brakes would not always apply correctly when using air

• Fixed an issue with some truncating and overlapping text on the Railway Roll Call scenario

• Fixed an issue with the front speakers and decals flickering during gameplay

• Fixed an issue where the HVAC starts and stops randomly when HVAC Cabin is set to Auto

Following from this update, we’re currently looking at the next patch from the week starting September 21st, and then each week afterwards, to give us plenty of opportunities to address any issues you’re sharing with our teams.

Some notable issues that are under investigation from our teams that you’ve shared:

• Some areas around Nürnberg of lower performance and low FPS

• Simple controls HUD elements and safety system acknowledgement

• Some reports of issues with profile importing

• Freight Hauler situations leading players to getting soft locked

• Camera movement on controllers can feel sluggish at times

• Cars crossing some barriers across Tri-Rail Florida incorrectly

• AI conductor doors not interacting as expected on Class 331/333

• Investigating if we're able to support a darker UI menu option

Of course, these are only some of the common mentions, but certainly we’re taking in a huge wealth of feedback and currently folding much more into upcoming updates.
