Wont start and says running on task manager

I never pops up and when it does this it cant be killed in the manager running windows 7. Have to restart to get it to shutdown.

Easy fix. Go into my documents -> BYOND -> bin -> yutput -> epoch -> directx and run the directx setup. Then launch the game. Then if it's still in a hidden window close it with task manager and launch again. The game will work.

I dont have the byond folder in that location would the one in the steam folder work?

i have my c drive with nothing on it but my OS

If there's one in the steam folder then that's the one. By default it's gonna be in my documents but if you find it elsewhere that'll work too

ran the steam one didnt work hung in manager again. ran the one in the steam folder same problem.

This is caused by an antivirus program interfering with Epoch's installation. What antivirus program are you currently using?

To solve this issue, add an exception to the Steamapps\Common\Epoch folder in your antivirus program of choice, and then add an exception to the Documents\BYOND folder.

Uninstall Epoch and then reinstall. If you have further trouble, send me a message via steam. I'd be happy to do a remote session to address the issue manually.

You have to run the game in the steamapps\common\epoch first, and then close it and add the exception to the BYOND folder which will appear afterwards.

The first exception lets the game install, and the second exception lets the game run.
