Movement?
I'm playing with touch controllers but when I walk forwards, every few steps I seem to stop like I'm stuck on the floor or something, is this a bug?

could be your camera set up. make sure the cameras are positioned in a clear space. or, they may need to be charged/battery replaced. let us know if you fix it. thanks for the support.

I have redone my setup and my batteries are four bars according to the oculus app so I have no idea why it's happening. Must be an issue with the touch controllers as it doesn't seem to happen with the xbox one controller. Not sure there is anyway to fix it.

hmm, thats weird. did you check out the message boards?we'll ask our engineers if they heard of anything.

Can't see anything about it on steam discussions, do you have a link to you message boards?

I've got tha same problem with oculus touch. The problem is that you can't strafe and move forward or backwrd at the same time, which is pretty annoying.

Not sure if it's because you have to sprint by clicking the stick in but other vr games I've played such as "dreadhalls" don't have this movement issue (although that game uses the left grip as sprint)

did you go into the options menu and adjust the controls? not sure why you cant strafe and move at forward or back at the same time. Will look into this asap.

Yeah I've tried either controll settings in the options menu, none of them let me move diagonal on neither side of the controller. Even tried to fiddle with steamVR and compatibility mode for the game exe with no luck.

I'm getting the exact same issue as Juanez Sanchez Miguel Kolonorito, with the Oculus Touch Controllers trying to move diagonally just causes my movement to stick and makes it really difficult to play/become immersed. Would definitely appreciate this fixed thanks.

Hello all, if you turn on "Strafe" in the options menu and use Left hand directional instead of Head, you will have the free movement you are looking for. We will need to re-write the menu language to make it more clear. but thats how you get what you want. Thanks all.

straight from our engineering team.

Desired movement scheme:
Headset Directional Movement
Options->Controls-> Movement Type “Headset”
Players move in the direction that their headset is facing.
Controller Directional Movement
Options -> Controls -> Movement Type “Controller”
Players move in the direction that their movement hand is pointing, instead of the direction the headset is facing.
Note: “Right/Left Hand Movement” options swap which hand controls movement and rotation, as well as all other functionality attached to that controller hand.
Options -> Controls -> Strafe
On - Players may press left and right to strafe.
Off - Players may only move forward and backwards.
Note: For controllers without joysticks (Vive), multi-directional movement is not supported at this time. However, you may still use strafe to move left and right.

First of all I would say thank you for your time and that you are try and make an effort to solve our problems :) I do appreciate that you try to help us.

Still even with that options I can't use the thumbstick to move diagonal, which is frustrating.
I don't know if its the same with the wands but if its works on it, maybe our problem could be that the wands got a trackpad not a thumbstick which could cause some compatibility issues. If you were to develop the game on the vive that is.

True we got free movement with that option but that is works only because I point in the direction I'd like to move, which would solve our problem only that It would look stupid if I were to keep pointing in the direction I head on my way to work you see.
