Politica Opponent

Hey guys. I have a question, I was playig the game in the UK, as a political Opponent to the Conservatives. I eventually won the campaign and should have then had power. But the game didn't end, nor did it hand power to me to run the country. it ust... stay like that. Is this meant to happen? If you win the election are you supposed to be able to then run the country or is the election all you have there?

Also, is there a way to create your own political party? I dislike having to adhere to someone else's ideologies and would very much enjoy being able to create my own and run with my own views rather than one that just sort of fits.

Usually it takes a week to get you in power when you win the elections.

Speaking about the parties, the only way to create a completely unique party is by the modding tool (which isn't out yet). Also, you can try becoming a legal organisation as a terrorist group. Most of the time it will follow the opposite idealogy to the current one in the government.

I hae actually had some fun with being a part of a terrorist group. I started one up in Fiji, took the Northern island and declared indipendance. We are now a fully free indipendant state with democratic elections! :)

It was short lived. Our economy tanked so they were going to vote me out so I removed elections, became a dictator then got myself killed. RIP

it's been 3 months now with my norrwegian communist party and I'm still not in power. I don't understand does I have to wait more or is it lost. I played more than 1 year getting my way to power, it's just frustrating

What kind of election have you won? It can be that you have won the legislative election (parliament) , but still missing presidential election to actually propose laws. It is a common practice than the head of state is elected directly instead of being appointed by the parliament.

It's a parlementary election but ther is no universal suffrage in norway and the prime minister is designate by the parlyment where I Have won. Also the ancient head of the state is doing nothing so I think she is still not able to do laws but I'm not becoming head of the state

I have 100 popularity but yes there is a lot of parties so I've won the election but I haven't the majority, but the head of state can't do any reform ... so I think it's bugged (I also in this game have a spouse bug after my divorce I remaried twice the popular cineast and now he is both man and woman, and I can flirt with both genders). also in this game France and Deutschland are at war I don't think it's quite normal...
