[solved] Error: exception_access_violation at Game Start (GER/ENG)

Hey zusammen,

nachdem ich das Spiel einige Stunden spielen konnte, habe ich beim Starten immer nur die Fehlermeldung "exception_access_violation" erhalten.

Hab diverse Foren durchsucht, mehrere Ansätze (Schwierigkeiten mit Java und Windows-UAC etc.) gefunden und nichts hat zu einer Lösung geführt... Ich habe die Lösung, zumindest für mich, nun nach 2 Tagen finden können, und dachte mir, dass es eventuell mehr Spieler mit dem Problem geben könnte.

Der Fehler scheint mit den Video-Intro-Dateien zusammenzuhängen. Diese findet ihr hier:

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Power & Revolution\vid
E:\ ist dabei durchd en Buchstaben eures Laufwerks zu ersetzen, wo das Spiel gespeichert ist.

Dort müsst ihr die 3 Dateien:
eversim
intro
introf

umbennen oder löschen, damit das Spiel die Dateien nicht aufrufen kann. (Umbenennung erspart eine Sicherungskopie). Anschließend das Spiel bei Steam NICHT auf Fehler überprüfen, da die "fehlerhaften" Dateien sonst ersetzt werden. Anschließend startet das Spiel ohne den Intro und ihr gelangt direkt auf der Ladeseite und anschließend im Hauptmenü.

After I was able to play a few hours, I always got the error message "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at startup.

I have searched various forums, found several approaches (difficulty with Java and Windows UAC e.g..) and nothing has led to a solution ... I have the solution, at least for me, and thought that possibly more players could be the problem there.

The error seems to be related to the video intro files. These can be found here:

E: \ Steam Library \ steamapps \ common \ Power & Revolution \ vid
E: \ is to replace steeped s letter of your drive where the game is saved.

There you have top renamme or delete the 3 files:
Eversim
intro
introf

so that the game files can not call. (Renaming dont need a backup copy). Then check out the game on Steam DONT "prove the files" via Steam because the "faulty" files are usually replaced. Then will your game starts without the intro and you will get directly to the loading side and then into the main menu.

Try to run Steam as an Administrator.
