Try to avoid countries with terrorism as that can be a major distraction and very time consuming for a Noob, so USA and China are out of the question... Try Australia I don't think it has that much problems and a nice starting country to learn about the economics of the game

Yeah Australia is pretty easy. Terrorism can be a pain but usually I can deal with terrorist groups pretty easily in a 2-3 years.
