I'm still interested to buy it but still...
In any case, Evo Explores is not better then MV is terms of visual and sound design, but I still think that levels in EE are more diverse and challenging. Another advantage is presence on desktop and lower price :)

If your understanding would be true, then there would be no FPS after Doom (or whatever game was the first FPS).
While Evo Explores' levels are visually very similar to MV's levels, all puzzled are unique. And there are several mechanics that were taken from EE to MV2 (like passing a piece of level from one handle to another). I think borrowing features is a good thing. In the end players receive better and more diverse games.
