Hotmail, Outlook, Live.com, and Mail.com Users: Their servers are filtering out automatic emails.
If you use hotmail, outlook, live.com, mail.com or any other Microsoft run email, there is a good chance that you will not receive our account activation or password recovery emails.

This is because Microsoft has been blocking our IP for no reason and despite MONTHS and hundreds of emails they have been insanely slow to resolve it.

Finally today we have the first hint that they may finally be fixing it. Here is what they said in an email this morning:

My name is Sunish and I work with the Outlook.com Deliverability Support Team.

Recent activity coming from your IP (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) has been flagged by our system as suspicious, causing your IP to become blocked. I have conducted an investigation into the emails originating from your IP space and have implemented mitigation for your deliverability problem. This process may take 24 - 48 hours to replicate completely throughout our system.

WHAT THIS MEANS

If you have a non-Microsoft email, you can use that to create an account easily and without manual activation from us.

If you want to use one of these Microsoft run emails (hotmail, outlook, etc) then account creation may require some extra steps/time.

After creating your account, if you do not get an activation email within a few minutes, you will need to email fca@frogdice.com with the subject: activate me

Then I have to get the email, and manually activate you.

Sorry for this inconvenience. We have been struggling with this for months, and I believe the only reason they finally addressed it today is because we had 300+ people using hotmail/outlook emails create accounts on Stash, and I asked them to email their support to inform them of the problem.

Hopefully soon this will not be a problem, but in the meantime I wanted to keep you updated.

We are seeing some hotmail/outlook users finally starting to get their emails. Hopefully this problem is almost fully resolved.
I signed up yesterday morning and it was fine. I use hotmail and the problem I had with that is the email sent went to my spam folder. So be sure to check spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
