The creator of that puzzle wanted it to not in the wiki for at least a few months.
I was not even aware that there was a new secret...
Anyway, it was introduced earlier this year. Either on the update of 09 of January or 14 of January (probably the latter). It's a puzzle and you must have a certain secret pet to begin. It gives a small puzzle, you solve it, and it leads somewhere to continue solving it.
The creator of the puzzle asked there to not share answers in public. Also, it cannot be added to the Wiki for the same reason?
Ryu actually included a hint that something secret was added to the game in the changelog of 26 of January. It says "Fixed issues with Mermaid, some secret issues, typos etc."
Now, what this entire quest gives? No idea. Didn't finish it. Actually I solved 2 parts of it, looked at the results, saw nothing of relevant... and went to do something else. If I can't solve it without hints, I can't solve it, case closed. If/when it is added to the wiki, I will follow the steps to unlock whatever it gives, but that's it.
(Was I vague enough to not be considered talking about it in public?)
Damn, I just accidentally found those tooltips and came searching to see if anyone had something to say about it. Guess it's still supposed to be a secret then
I can't comprehend how the tooltip part is supposed to mean anything. Allegedly it's meant to give you the URL to go to. But it's a real easy guess anyway so you don't even need any clues for that part. I'll be curious to see whenever it finally hits the wiki just WTF we were supposed to do there. (And is the typo in the one just a typo or is it a vital part of the clue?) Why are there so many of them for what you end up entering? Makes me wonder if I accidentally skipped a step (or more) that's not been hinted at by any discussion I've seen.
And yeah... The parts you find at the url... I have no clue at all what any of the setup given for Genius means. I just see no pattern in any of it. Just a lot of nonsense. Empathy makes perfect sense to me what you're expected to do. I've checked into it enough to confirm some things about what it all means. But I just haven't taken the time to actually fill it out. And Passion... Well, it just looks tedious, not hard. Got to step through all of the logic and piece it all together. I took a shot at it and worked through a bunch of it and... some things didn't seem to be lining up correctly. I must have missed something or come to a wrong conclusion about something.
At best I could probably work out Empathy and Passion (they don't seem unreasonable) and still be waiting for wiki answers on Genius. No shroud for me until then. (Will I even be able to get it when I do reach the last step of this? I've seen the item mentioned/screenshotted by several people on discord but I don't know what it costs and I wonder if it will ask for something I don't have access to yet.)
Yeah, I was not going to work out Genius. I was not just seeing what the categories were and I had no clue what I was supposed to do with that info if I had noticed what they were.
I never took the time to make a serious attempt at Empathy or to retry Passion to avoid whatever mistake I made in the logic, but looking at the wiki explanations for them I was on the right track with both of them. (EDIT: Although the meaning of the purple numbers is a part of the game that I never touch so that part could've stumped me. I've officially played/won only 19 card games. Savescummed any losses out of existence. Only have 9 cards unlocked for my deck. All of my attempts at it were within the first few weeks after it was added to the game and I just haven't touched it since then.)
Anyway, I don't mind that I've now just gotten the three answers from the wiki though.
Ah, the three puzzles each give an item and the craft uses those three items. So my worry that I might be missing something when I got to that point was unfounded. I haven't started the item yet but it looks like my CL 73 Owl (with SSS+15 Haposti) will take 19d22h30m to make it. When they're not busy later today I'll have Owl borrow the Rune Patch from my dungeon smith to speed that up.
The effects of the item sound really nice. Bonus xp and growth generated for a few other pets.
UPDATE: 15d22h48m crafting time with the rune patch equipped. Started. And now the almost 16 day wait begins.
UPDATE2: Oh hey, I forgot that Master Gloves was a thing. Got that on my Anteater and Pegasus. Owl can borrow that from Pegasus for another boost. And now the crafting time is 12d6h27m. NOW the wait begins, at just a bit over 12 days now.
