Idling to Rule the Gods

Idling to Rule the Gods

How is it compared to Progress Quest?
Does this game come close to the same deep character driven gameplay that Progress Quest not only created, but perfected?

Progress Quest is boring, you only watch there, in here you choose how to progress.
and if by chance you're not trolling, if you want deep character driven gameplay in terms of progression, try Diablo 1-3, Two Worlds 1-2 also Sanctuary RPG Black Edition.

Progress Quest did not perfect the idle. It merely made a full fire and forget game. It also still has bugs where things will break and nobody will ever fix them. I had a level 84 on Pemptus. The file self corrupted and there is nothing I can do to continue that game as that character.

Did you even read what I said, in terms of progression... also what kind of character progression comparison are you even after when we're comparing it to clicker/idle games.

Also I can add Torchlight 1-2, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Titan Quest, basically any game where you can play hundreds or thousands of hours that doesn't need massive amounts of grind for basically nothing when compared to mmorpgs PSO2 would be an exception there, also mass effect or dragon age, witcher kind of games don't count, as the progression gets to a halt at a certain point and that's around the time where you're just starting in Diablo clones to really play.

About another mmorpg Devilian that is an exception, you can get to the end game pretty easily and it's pretty fun because of the story read and gameplay, also you have something similar to paragon system at the end, where you can trade exp points for stats or rewards bonuses.

Mabinogi can be an exception to the rule too, with how it is now.

Well, still lots of grinding for certain things, but it's not too bad if you know what you're doing.
