Thunder Ball <> Raiju

Is there any reason for the Thunder Ball pet is called Raiju in the export Pet Stats List?

Pretty sure that "Raiju" is what Ryu had in mind as the pet's official name after evolution.

I didn't know this until I looked up the name somewhat recently, but Raiju is actually a creature from Japanese mythology. It's the companion of Raijin, the Shinto god of lightning.
Ryu made the pet's evolved form look pretty close to how the creature can commonly be described in many stories that it appears in (a wolf whose body is made of lightning).

Yes originally it was only Raiju, but I made the pre-evo form a ball because it looks weaker and from the wiki, Raiju also may fly about as a ball of lightning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raij%C5%AB
