Shiny Stones from Mimic

Mimic dropped 1 x Shiny Stone.

For what are they for?

I don't know yet either. The description says: "A stone. It is really shiny and looks cool." Cool... Maybe it is related to Water dungeon or Nevermelting Ices? I'm unable to beat a single room on Water Dungeon 3, anyway.

How did you get yours? On Volcano or somewhere else? Were you trying to unlock the secret pet?

Is it perhaps related to "mimic points" of the mimic pet or to its unlock?

It's one of the items needed in your party's inventory to get the evolved balrog monster to show up in volcano depth 3, difficulty 10. They drop the balrog horns needed to evolve the balrog pet and power it up.

I've got mine from the mimic in D3 Mountain. You have to bring a "Nothing" to get mimic to spawn. The Shiny Stones are not related with the mimic points. I have 15 mimic points and 16 Shiny Stones (maybe rogue bonus).

In another thread was a hint teased:

You should read the tooltip of the "treasure" pet again.

Also take a look at the FAQ (last 2 lines) and then the first story chapters and then the white input field at 'settings'.

It seems to starts the balrog evolving "questline"...
