Fighting highest UB seems not to work for me offline
Even after over 2.000 hours of playing this game there are some mechanics I do not understand at all. For example the system how Ultimate Beings will be defeated offline.

I want to defeat some UBs while I am offline, so I assigned 200.000 defender clones although the CAP is only about 120.000. It says that ITRTG is about to attack in a few minutes. But if I go offline now and come back in an hour or something, nothing has changed. That ITRTG-UB is still alive and there was no energy added. I also haven't lost the fight or anything. It only says that the next UB attack is in five minutes. The smaller UB like Planet Eater will be defeated while I am offline, if they appear in the meantime. I really don't get it: Why can my defender clones not beat ITRTG in offline mode? They have no problem in killing it online.

I don't know if 2,000 hours is a lot or not but how high is your might "clones on planet +" for the cap for defender clones to be 120,000?
I usually get it to 250, plus the 50 "ghost" levels from CBC and the cap is still 187,500 (I leave it to 375,000 anyway but still).
EDIT: Also, are the defender clones set to that amount and auto-fill enabled?

"Clones on Planet +" actually is at 560(5) and yes: defender clones are set to more than that (200.000) and auto-fill also is enabled. I really don't understand why nothing happens, when they have to fight against ITRTG offline. I have to overlook something

The wiki isn't telling anything other than the fact that the amount needed is the CAP and that it disregards crystals unike the kills while the game is open.

I also never had problems with offline kills on UBs so far but my offline periods are always at least several hours long (I close it for the night).

I did notice that the CAP button sets an amount that is not necessarily enough to kill that UB while the game is open without pushing might or equipping crystals, not sure if it could be related or not.

If it helps, I always leave my defender clones to 375,000 (the amount required with 100 might levels, so CBC + DRC), if you can spare a few hundred clones it might be worth trying that value next time.

Yeah, I will try it with a higher amount of clone defenders the next time ITRTG appears. Thx so far.

You said that you come back in an hour or something. If I remember ITRTG spawns every 5 hours. You also need to kill the lower UB before it targets the highest for the auto battles.

Even if ITRTG is the only active UB? So I have to wait for the other four UBs to spawn and be defeated?

ITRTG was the only active Ultimate Being and it says that the next attack will be in two minutes. I went offline and came back after about 45 minutes and IRTG was still there.

I thought my defender clones would fight against an active UB when it attacks me.

I haven't tracked that. So I don't know when the offline timer starts. Since the Auto fill cap isn't always enough to kill it when it is online. That cap is what is needed to kill it while offline. Maybe not in your case but from what you are describing, it could almost be used as an exploit in certain cases. I wouldn't be surprised if something was coded in to try to prevent that from being exploited.

I think Ryu might have mentioned something once about a 1 hour minimum offline time before UB kills will be factored into offline gains. But I'm not sure when or where that was mentioned (assuming that I'm not remembering this wrong to begin with). I checked the changelog and the only thing it says in the notes for the update that added offline UB kills is that the cap button assigns enough defenders to deal with the strongest unlocked UB and that this number will be different from what's necessary for dealing with them online. I also tried to dig through old messages on discord and nothing I saw there stuck out as being what I was looking for.
