Anyway, I need to make note of the 4+9 loop from that topic and get more use out of it than that one time that I used it for the achievement. (At least until I push through the UBV2C to enable autokills, I guess.)
Because I was recently looking through the old patch notes for something or another and I came across the note from when that achievement was added and I saw that it claimed that all ITRTG v2 kills that meet that condition should receive an extra 20 GP on top of what he normally gives you (so 70 total).
I either hadn't noticed that part originally or I had forgotten about it by the time I saw the 4+9 loop in that topic, so I've still been using the same old reliable 3+6 god speed loop (the one listed on the wiki as robscat's loop) for all of my v2 kills every time I've taken them down.
EDIT: Okay, with 865 in attack+ the one hit only took him down to about 30%. Reloaded my save to just before the fight and I'll focus on leveling that up a bunch before I try again.
Still a good call to try to get it when you don't have the extra hoop to jump through, though.
EDIT: It's 250 x tier, and ITRTG is the 5th one, therefore tier 5. That's why it's 1250.
EDIT2: By the way, did you check what Fel had said at the end of that topic you linked? Close the game and see if that triggers steam to acknowledge that you completed the achievement? I don't know if it's the answer but it won't hurt anything to try it.
EDIT3: Just noticed your edit in the first post. Sounds like you probably did consider that already.
Sometimes you also might need to restart for steam to recognize the achievement.
Some text popped up when I did the attack stating that I had done over 100% damage and received 20 GP for it. Then the fight ended with the next thing I pressed and I got the usual text pop-up giving 50 GP for beating it.
So that first pop-up with the 20 GP is what tells you within the game that you did the One Punch thing. Check that you have been doing enough damage with the one hit to trigger that message.
ill take it off and try it again later today/tommorow (started a new run few hrs ago resetting my might)
