Pet Evolution
Just started working at dungeon with pet and can evolve my mouse but the in game info suggests him as supporter and im not sure why exactly. It also suggests hermit crab for blacksmith but i dont have pet token and he's unlikely to be my first choice if i get one. Is there any downside to making mouse into a blacksmith or another pet i could wait for to make into a blacksmith?

Ryu put in the faq the suggestion to make mouse a supporter because it will be a good long while before you can have the option to evolve a pet that's got a specialty bonus as a supporter. (The easiest supporter specialist is fairy, which requires 125 of a tier 2 material (which is equivalent to 1000 of a tier 1 material). The mouse only requires 5 of a tier 1 material.)

The nine pets mentioned in that part of the dungeons faq are all of the ones that only require tier 1 materials to evolve. All other pets require tier 2 materials.

The crab is a blacksmith specialist which requires only 50 tier 1 materials while the other blacksmith specialists (octopus, pegasus, or robot) require 450, 750, or 1250 tier 2 materials (octopus is the 450... but the octopus also requires that you already have a blacksmith since it also needs a S grade Tsunami Spear...)

The mouse can be pretty open-ended if you have something different in mind instead of following Ryu's suggestion of making it a supporter. It has no specialty so you're not sacrificing a specialty bonus with your decision. Most other pets have a specialty, and if you give them a class that's different from their specialty then you can't benefit from that specialty.

Question, assuming of course that you've gotten it from the event that's been going on, is your easy alchemist (50 tier 1 material while the other specialists need 250, 500, or 750 tier 2 materials)

Egg is your easy assassin (15 tier 1 material while the other specialists need 75, 175, 350, or 750 tier 2 materials).

Squirrel is your easy rogue (25 tier 1 material while the other specialists need 250, 250, or 750 tier 2 materials).

Rabbit is your easy mage (50 tier 1 material while the other specialists need 175, 600, or 625 tier 2 materials).

The other 3 easy ones (cupid, mole, and camel - for 10, 25, and 50 tier 1 materials) are all adventurer specialists. Ryu's advice in the faq says to consider making one of them a defender to pair with the mouse supporter. Because the defender specialists will all be a good long while away with them requiring 100, 250, or 750 tier 2 materials. If you don't have crab and won't be prioritizing it when you get a pet token available, making one of them (or mouse) a blacksmith would also be a valid idea to consider.
