Can´t increase max clones by creating / defeating...

Hey there,
the tooltip says, for each 20 created/defeated shadow clones, it want increase the cap by 1.
I have started a year ago and since 1 week I´m playing again.

1 week ago my max clones were 139,999 ... now, 1 week later it´s still standing at 139,999.
What´s wrong?

I have tested it now with the "Clone Buildup Challenge", there it´s working, but after I have clicked the "Load Online" button to get my old state back, it´s no more working...

Are you sure they are not increasing? The increased cap will be valid on your next rebirth. Look at the "Rebith" tab, and you will see the max clones number there increasing. I suppose it's the same mistake I made in my first CBC.

Increasing clones that way caps at 99,999. It's only relevant for new players and for players starting challenges which function similar to being a new player (which are UBC, UAC, and CBC). Beyond that initial limit you must either spend GP to raise the limit (which is where I'd assume that 40,000 of your current 139,999 limit came from (4 purchases of 25 GP per 10,000 clones)) or complete CBCs to get it raised as part of the reward (20,000 per CBC until you complete 50 of them).

Please look at the tooltip a bit more, it will tell you if you reached the cap for gaining free clones with that method (called "soft cap" in the tooltip).

Without doing CBC or spending GP to make the cap rise, you can only reach 99 999 through this method, after that you gain 20 000 per CBC or you can spend GP (usually you will use the 25 GP for 10 000 clones).
The main way to increase your clone cap is through GP, and you will quickly reach the point where you can afford to get the 10 000 clones option at least once a day.
