Pet Evolve change Advise
I am trying to decide if I should use a change token or not. I am basically considering my camel. I only have 3 fire pets total. Pumpkin/Camel/Squirrel. I have been using them in the Volcano dungeon due to the event requirement. Early on, I made the Camel an alchemist as a last resort to help make the others evolve. Probably a mistake but I had already made my mouse a black smith. With the Answer and Bee out with alchemist bonuses, I am thinking that I should change the Camel since I have the token. It's bonus is as an Adventure, but that does't have any bonus in the dungeons. I am thinking about switching it to either a defender or mage. I have no real defender right now and the rabbit is the only mage. So I am looking for opinions.

It kind of depends how far along you are in equipments and dungeon levels, since a rogue is needed for depth 2 of the volcano.

I personally still don't have a single defender yet (elephant is on his way but he is still lacking 171 defense with a steel armour A +9 so not quite there yet), so I had to compensate with equipment and levels, but if your team doesn't have a mage it might not be a bad pick (I mean, there is a reason why the whole ambush thing was added in order to stop mages from wreaking absolutely everything, and they are still super strong).

The squirrel is already a rogue since that was its class bonus. I haven't evolved the pumpkin yet.

Is the Dragon too hard for you to get? Baal 25 was a high milestone a few years ago, and it was the last available pet then, but now it is quite a middle game point, even less. I got my dragon evolved far before trying volcano depth 2, and I'm quite sure its requirements are low.

Ape is harder to get, and much harder to evolve (to assassin), so dragon should be your best bet. From my point of view, unlocking and evolving the dragon is a better course of action than wasting a change token on something that will not be optimal. And an adventure boost is always useful on pet stones and growth in the long run, so camel shoud become an adventurer, not a dungeon pet. I would save the token for this, instead.

All that said, mage seems more useful than defenders. So if changing it, I would make the camel a mage. A mage AND a defender together, though, are awesome. So if you decide to unlock the dragon and make it a mage, making the camel a defender is a better idea. My 2 cents.

I have been doing a lot of reset challenges, So haven't hit Baal 25 yet. I guess I could switch to Normal challenges and aim for Baal 25 to get the dragon. If I went that route, would it be better for me to set the camel to Defender and drop my pumpkin back to gathering food? Then set pumpkin to adventurer since I haven't evolved it yet.

Well, if you intend on making a full use of chocobear and golden dragon, having the pumpkin as an adventurer on food campaigns is definitely not a bad idea.
