Thoughts about the English Dub?

I'm curious what everyone thinks of the voice acting in this game. I did my first play through with the English dub like I do with Japanese games and play other language options later. I think the voices are decent. I do like Sung-ah and I liked how her actress matched with her in game expressions. I don't have much to say about glasses girl (I keep forgetting her name) because she was barely on my first play through but when she is she sounds fine to me. As for later characters they sound decent. I find it strange how most of the ghost are voiced by the same person in the English dub as the ending credits say.

I do have a few criticisms though. So-young has a good voice actress but most of her performance suffers from the lack of interest to redo the lip movements making her speak slower than she should matching the Korean lip movements. For example when you first meet her she says "So what are you... doing... at this hour?". In the Japanese version they redid the lip movements and talk normally, I wonder if there was some time constraints or if they really couldn't do it. Fortunately for So-young it gets better for her in the latter half of the game or when she becomes a 2nd party member following you around.

I've encountered about 2 lines being cut off near the end. One with Sung-ah before she tells you the school is haunted and one with So-young at the new building when you see the rooftop key hanging. this was in the mobile version so I was hoping they fixed this issue but unfortunately it wasn't. Ive only done So-young's route so I have yet to encounter other lines being cut off on other routes.

I liked the first two girls you meet. their voice actors are amazing. So Youngs voice actor is nice, but i get the feeling she wasn't used to being a voice actor, because she seemed very inexperienced.

Actually, she's been voice acting for over a decade by the time she recorded for So-young when the mobile version came out in 2015. Like I said, I think the lack of redoing the lip movement is to blame.

I'm more into the Korean voices and eng subtitles.
In English, the Fox Spirit and The Ghost with the Hidden Face sounds terrible, but in Korean they are too awesome.

For the old old fans which played WhiteDay Original they can not get along with other dubbed voices. I will give a route tough which each language to give a better opinion later

This is the one game I'll never play with english voices. Played the original, I cannot think of any other language beside korean no matter how decent the other dub is. The ghosts names are too cool as well. But I'm glad they chose decent actors
