White Day: A Labyrinth Named School

Can't get into the Principal's Office
I've found the note that points at the password, but... it's in characters. There's a note with Chinese numerals, but the chalfboard itself doesn't contain a single one of them.

It is Cipher.

The way to solve this Cipher is introduced in White Day Wikia.

I read this, and I still don't understand it... the article is written in bad English. None of the characters on the chalkboard look like whats written on the paper

Yeah, the wiki doesn't have a great English explanation for this. So basically, each set of three characters is a math equation. Treat the second character as a "minus". Then take the third character and "subtract" it from the first character. The leftover marks after the subtraction will give you the correlating number on the sheet on the side of the board.

If it helps, I have played on Normal and Hard and it always seems to be a combination of the number 1, 2, 4 and 8 in a random order.

I think this puzzle is incredibly poorly designed. Nowhere in the entire game does it explain that the middle character in the sets of three is supposed to be "minus". Absolutely ridiculous.

It is not japanese but chinese character.
And It is Cipher. If you know chinese character well, you can solve it easier. but, you can solve it. (Even if you don't know chinese character)

Try these on the door and it will work:

8124
8241
4218
1482
2841

Actually, the trick to it is pretty simple once you figure it out, you are not subtracting numbers, but rather, you are supposed to subtract the shapes themselves. So, Squiggly line minus this part of the squiggly line equals a recognizable Chinese number on the chart, for example line in a box minus the Box equals just a line which equals one according to the chart, and so on.

The puzzle can be confusing if you're unfamiliar with Chinese characters. But not impossible.

Chinese characters are composed of smaller parts called radicals that sort of combine to form the full character. The numbers you see on the note are contained inside the characters written on the chalkboard. The character in the middle of each set, 不, roughly means "not". It's telling you you're supposed to "subtract" the final character of each set from the first character. The remaining bit will be the number.

For example, in the character set 示不小, you're subtracting 小 from 示. You're left with 二, which the note tells you is the number two. Hopefully this helps somebody actually solve the puzzle without needing to look up the answer or remember the codes.
