Can't pick up the egg to knock the shell free after escaping the Giant.

Any idea on how to fix it. Already reinstalled the game.

Same here. I somehow have gotten something blue in my "inventory", so I can't pick up the egg.
(Would be great if, when I try to pick something up, what I already am holding will be dropped so that I can pick up something else.)

It had something to do with my controls. After messing around a bit I was able to get the item.

For me, it was the blue powder from the very beginning of the chapter... I didn't realize that we picked up two uses of it, and I managed to escape only using it one time. I was able to re-start from the beginning of the episode, so now I should be able to progress
